Daniela Di Paolo acted as our Pompeii private guide for our family of four during a scorching day in August. Daniela was an outstanding, first-rate, guide from our initial interaction (before entering Pompeii) to departing Pompeii. Daniela possesses an encyclopaedic knowledge of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius and was completely unfazed by any question. Daniela managed to pitch Pompeii to our children (15 and 11 years old) expertly whilst ensuring adults were consistently engaged. Despite possessing experience from previous visits, she ensured that both my wife and I gained significant new knowledge into Pompeii life pre the Vesuvius eruption. During our visit, we witnessed the marked difference between hiring a private guide and following a much larger group; Daniela’s private guiding session was far superior. Visiting Pompeii was wonderful, and I learned a lot about what had happened with Mount Vesuvius and the people of Pompeii so many years ago. Our guide, Carmine, was outstanding explained everything in simple terms answered all of our questions and even engaged my five-year-old nephew. I would highly recommend taking a tour guide through this location as there are so much information to ascertain which would be difficult without assistance. The site is much larger than I expected and I would recommend this to anyone going to this area.

We had an absolutely fantastic tour of Pompeii with Alona today. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate, and brought the history of Pompeii to life in a way that made the whole experience fascinating from start to finish. Alona struck the perfect balance between sharing detailed historical insight and keeping the tour interesting and easy to follow. She pointed out so many details we would never have noticed on our own and gave us a real sense of what everyday life in Pompeii would have been like.

Our guide was Silvia and, if you can ask for her, do it! We loved the experience. There were 2 adults and 1 girl on a super hot day, and even so we enjoyed the tour a lot. The information was very interesting and, something we loved, is that Silvia managed to keep our daughter interested as well. She was super attentive, kind, and flexible throughout the entire tour. She allowed us to set the pace a bit, make stops for a coffee or an ice cream when we wanted, and, in addition, she stayed longer with us at the end.

Daniela was absolutely delightful. Her extensive knowledge of archeology really brought life into the city of Pompeii and our tour. She had so many insights that we would have missed if we had gone on our own. We had some slower members of the group who were t sure they would be able to come, but she was able to adapt to their pace and give us a fantastic tour that exceeded everyone’s expectations. I would absolutely book again! An absolute highlight of our Italy trip. I want to come back and have her take us for an even deeper dive into the region!
Excellent guided tour by Roberta! We were 10 in the family, with the elders of 80 years old and children from 10 to 16 years old. The information is clear and the route is suitable.
