Siete pronti all'unica vera esperienza combinata di Pompei ed Ercolano con degli archeologi che hanno realmente scavato e condotto progetti di ricerca nel sito archeologico di Pompei? Non sono un'agenzia ne un tour operator, ciò significa che la visita sarà tenuta solo da un vero archeologo, me o i miei fidati colleghi archeologi.

Itinerario
La visita combinata di Pompei ed Ercolano permette di comprendere la vita che si svolgeva nelle due piccole città romane fino al momento dell'eruzione del 79 d.C. Attraverso la visita si potranno notare come le modalità differenti di sepoltura delle due città hanno permesso due tipi differenti di conservazione. Durante la visita di Pompei ci concentreremo soprattutto sugli aspetti della vita pubblica della città. Gli edifici che sarà possibile visitare sono: i teatri, le terme, il lupanare, il foro (con i templi i mercati e la basilica) e i commoventi corpi ottenuti con la tecnica del gesso liquido.
Dopo una breve pausa di 45 minuti raggiungeremo Ercolano (circa 25 minuti in auto oppure in treno Circumvesuviana) Durante la visita raggiungeremo l'antica spiaggia e cominceremo il tour della città visitando una serie di tipiche abitazioni romane (con mosaici e affreschi), dei negozi, le bellissime terme femminili con i loro affreschi e i reperti carbonizzati che incontreremo durante il tour.

Benedetto was an amazing host for our family of five. Our kids, 15, 11, and 9, enjoyed this tour just as much as the parents did. Once we got off our cruise ship, we took the public transit to Pompeii, where it was easy to meet Benedetto outside of the entrance. Benedetta is a true archaeologist and historian and knows his content incredibly well. He helped us navigate through Pompeii with ease, making sure that we hit all the highlights and knew every detail along the way. We then had a perfectly timed lunch where we enjoyed Naples pizza outside of Pompeii and had a private transfer arranged by Benedetto to get us to Herculaneum. Herculaneum is a less known site but is very similar to Pompeii in many ways. I'm glad we got to see both. The museums were very interesting to get to see the nitty-gritty detail of what was recovered during the excavation, including jewelry, furniture, fishing materials, ropes, et cetera. That is stuff that you will never see at Pompeii. The preservation is different between Herculaneum and Pompeii because of how the Mount Vesuvius volcano affected each one. There is no question I would recommend Benedetto with five stars and enthusiasm to any family and friends. He is a true professional, and I am glad we got him to guide our experience for the day.
We were fortunate to have Fabio, an archaeologist with extensive experience at Pompeii & Herculaneum lead our private tour. His knowledge and passion for the site were inspiring, and he showed us the most captivating sights. This tour was with every penny!
