Monumento comunista di Buzludzha e antica tomba tracia
Descrizione
Buzludzha è un picco storico nelle montagne dei Balcani centrali, in Bulgaria ed è alto 1.432 metri. Nel 1868 fu il luogo della battaglia finale tra ribelli bulgari guidati da Hadji Dimitar e Stefan Karadzha e forze dell'Impero Ottomano. La Casa-Monumento del Partito Comunista Bulgaro (noto anche come il monumento di Buzludzha) fu costruita sul picco dal regime comunista bulgaro. Commemora gli eventi del 1891, quando un gruppo di socialisti guidati da Dimitar Blagoev si radunò segretamente nell'area per formare un movimento socialista organizzato che portò alla fondazione del Partito socialdemocratico bulgaro, precursore del Partito comunista bulgaro. La costruzione del monumento iniziò il 23 gennaio 1974 sotto l'architetto Georgi Stoilov, ex sindaco di Sofia e cofondatore dell'Unione degli architetti in Bulgaria. L'edificio esemplifica lo stile architettonico brutalista comune a molti edifici comunisti costruiti dallo stato.

I visited this place and I am in ore with the architecture. Really pleased that it will be finally restored as it has been left to decay for so long. It is secured nowadays but inside is truly phenomenal with the wall mosaics and the acoustics. A true national treasure. This is the only communist monument of this kind. Beautiful surroundings too. I cannot wait to see It restored.
I'd recommend this company. Smarttrans were very organised and helpful including text updates as to when our driver would arrive. We very much enjoyed our trip - Dennis was great. Shame about the low clouds at Buzludzha but still very atmospheric.
Highly recommended. It seems to be a new tour with this company and they are certainly tries to accomodate specific needs. We were a big family with a small child and many wills, and almost every will was satisfied. We were also accomodated as last-minute booking in high season which was great! Both Buzludzha and Plovdiv are highly recommended as attractions of Bulgarias rich history! Very satisfied. Some things could always be improved, like complimentary water in the car.
