Durante questo tour di un giorno viaggerai attraverso la storia con la guida professionale della tua guida. Il nostro viaggio nel tempo inizierà dal periodo romano, quando Nis donò al mondo un grande uomo: l'imperatore romano Costantino il Grande. Poi continueremo attraverso il Medioevo e il periodo del dominio ottomano che ha lasciato costruzioni come la Fortezza di Nis e la Torre del Teschio - un simbolo della lotta per la libertà e l'indipendenza dagli Ottomani. Alla fine presteremo attenzione alla storia moderna e al periodo di occupazione nazista dell'ex Jugoslavia, visitando il campo di concentramento nazista. Ovviamente dopo tutte le impressioni che ottieni, sarà il momento di riposare. Avrai la possibilità di assaggiare la famosa cucina serba, una delle più deliziose dei Balcani.

La guida verrà a prenderti dal tuo alloggio a Sofia alle 08:30. Dopo circa 2 ore di guida, raggiungeremo la nostra prima vista: il parco archeologico di Medijana, che è una residenza imperiale romana, oggi chiusa a causa di lavori di ristrutturazione.
La nostra prossima fermata sarà la Skull Tower, nota anche come Cale kula. La torre è ora un museo dedicato ai bulgari e ai serbi che hanno preso parte alla rivolta contro l'Impero ottomano. Fu costruito dai turchi e costruito con i teschi delle ribellioni uccise. L'idea di questo atto era di avvertire gli altri cosa succederà se si ribelleranno di nuovo.
Campo di concentramento nazista - costruito nel 1941 ed è famoso per la riuscita fuga dei prigionieri all'inizio del 1942. Il campo è perfettamente conservato e non è mai stato danneggiato.
Successivamente, proseguiremo verso la città vecchia dove visiteremo la fortezza di Nis. Lì vedremo le rovine dell'antico Nisus e il successivo periodo ottomano. Faremo una passeggiata e poi godremo il cibo tradizionale locale.

This was my second trip with this company and it was excellent! I forgot the name of the guide (trip was done on 14 July 2026), but he did such an excellent job! Pick up was on time, the van was comfortable, and toilet breaks were scheduled as needed. The guide did a great job explaining all sites visited that include Constantine’s Villa, Skull Tower, one concentration camp, Nis Fortress, and the city center. Thank you for a great trip!
It was an excellent day learning about some history of Nis. It was a long day of driving, but very with it.

Our guided tour to Nis with Tuni was fantastic! The small group size of just five guests and comfortable, air-conditioned transportation made for a relaxed journey. Tuni was friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring a hassle-free border crossing and comfort stops along the way. We toured the Ottoman Skull Tower, Constantine’s Mediana ruins, and the former Nazi concentration camp, followed by a great walking tour and free time to explore Nis. A highly recommended day trip for history lovers!
Nis is interesting and I enjoyed this tour. Our guide Lubo was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. After a previous accident, I'm not a fan of motorways and the speed limits in Bulgaria are higher than what I'm used to but Lubo was a great driver and I felt very safe in his car. We had long queues at the borders but he kept us in good spirits. I would avoid this tour during the summer holidays as I believe the border queues are rediculous.

This was a great day trip and definitely worth doing if you want to get out of Sofia and see something completely different. Our day started with a bit of unexpected circumstances when our driver had a medical emergency. Thankfully, the company handled the situation incredibly well. They made sure their driver received the help he needed and quickly arranged another driver so our trip could continue with very little delay. We really appreciated how professional and caring they were. Once we arrived, everything was exactly as described. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job explaining the history and interesting facts along the way. He even gave us recommendations for places to eat, which was a nice bonus. It's a long day, but the scenery and experience make it absolutely worth it. We'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a taste of Serbia while in Sofia!
