Mindo è una città situata a nord-ovest di Quito, a 2 ore di guida. La foresta pluviale ha un'incredibile varietà di fauna aviaria, in particolare colibrì e farfalle. Questa zona di foresta primaria con un'immensa biodiversità ha anche alcuni dei più alti tassi di endemismo vegetale nel mondo: qui crescono in abbondanza orchidee, bromelie, heliconie, felci, viti, muschi e licheni.

Itinerario
Al mattino verremo prelevati dal nostro hotel dalla nostra guida autista per prendere il nord-ovest di Quito in direzione di Mindo, una delle foreste pluviali più visitate dell'Ecuador. Per arrivare a Mindo impiegheremo circa 2 ore, una volta arrivati in città visiteremo un ottimo posto per ammirare molte specie di colibrì. La prossima tappa è al giardino delle farfalle dove vedremo le 4 fasi della vita delle farfalle, circondati contemporaneamente da 1200 farfalle colorate. Il nostro prossimo punto è la fabbrica di cioccolato artigianale; qui avrai l'opportunità di conoscere il processo per produrre un delizioso e puro cioccolato dalla fava di cacao. Se abbiamo tempo c'è la possibilità di divertirci facendo Canopy (Zip-Line/opzionale). Infine, torniamo a Quito.
Per quelli con un tempo limitato che non sono stati in grado di visitare Middle of the World, potremmo fermarci in questo posto sulla via del ritorno da Mindo senza costi aggiuntivi (biglietto d'ingresso NON incluso), per favore basta scrivere questa richiesta e renderemo possibile.

This day trip has it all! We did the cable car (tarabita), hiked to the waterfalls, and finished with an amazing chocolate tour. Doing it as a private trip meant we could customize our itinerary and stay longer at the spots we loved.
We spend the morning surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, then transition back to the city with a stop at the equator. It’s a lot of ground to cover, but the private transport makes the logistics seamless and much easier than trying to coordinate local buses.
It was an incredibly special day with Mijael. He was SO passionate and knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip, from the plants and nature to geography and mythology. We loved chatting with him, exploring the stunning town of Mindo, and enjoying a waterfall hike. The tour felt relaxed , peaceful, fun and educational. Thanks for organizing a memorable day!

My family & I had an excellent English speaking guide in Quito. We spent 3 days with Kevin. We visited Quito, the center of the earth, the Mindo cloud forest, went zip lining and the Otavalo market. Kevin spent over 10 hours with us each day, he hiked with us and took us to a great chocolate farm and good restaurant. He was accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable. His prices for the 5 of were much better then Viator and we had complete control over our day. I enjoyed photographing the numerous hummingbirds. Very colorful. Also learning how chocolate was made was interesting. Seeing the butterfly farm was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And the orchid farm was amazing.
