A perfect day in Perú!

My guide and driver Dionel was amazing! I learned so much about the history and culture of Peru while visiting archeological sites. I was traveling solo and I felt safe and had some beautiful photos taken! I had a wonderful time learning about the dyeing and weaving process in a gorgeous setting at Andean Colors. It was the perfect day in Peru for anyone who loves to learn about art and culture.

Amazing class at Andean Colours.

Andean Colours was one of the most special and unique experiences in Peru! The class for natural dyeing was incredible and super informative. We were involved in every step of the process and the class was just two of us so it felt very unique to learn in that environment. After making the wool, we were taught how to weave bracelets which was also so fun. The home cooked meal for lunch was delicious - thank you so much! Also a really special organisation that supports single mothers who are artisans.

Thank you so much for your beautiful words and for sharing your experience with us It truly means a lot to hear that Andean Colors became one of your most special memories in Peru We are very happy that you enjoyed the natural dyeing workshop and that you could experience every step of the ancestral textile process with your own hands. Creating, learning, and sharing in a small and personal environment is exactly the experience we hope every guest can feel We are also so glad you enjoyed weaving your bracelet and sharing our homemade Andean lunch with us. Most importantly, thank you for recognizing the heart behind our project — supporting local artisan women and single mothers through preserving traditional Andean textile knowledge. Your visit helps keep these ancestral traditions alive for future generations. We hope to welcome you again someday in the Sacred Valley ✨ With gratitude, Marco Zuniga & the Andean Colors family.

Maras Moray more textile super

We started our day in Cusco, where transport picked us up on time. Then we headed to the impressive salt flats of Maras and the fascinating Inca laboratory of Moray; both places were simply amazing. Then we continue to Andean Colors, where we enjoy a delicious lunch with spectacular views. Finally, we started the textile workshop, and I can say for sure that it was one of the best experiences of my whole trip in Cusco. I recommend this experience to everyone without hesitation. Simply unforgettable!

Beautiful time!

Book this immediately! This was one of my absolute favorite days in Peru! The textile workshop was amazing with such knowledgeable and patient instructors and incredible views. Me and one other person were there so it felt like a private workshop, they even arranged drop off and pick up for a reasonable price. We learned how to do everything wash, process, spin, dye and weave alpaca wool. With the company's origins founded in supporting single mothers you know your dollar is going somewhere worth it. Lunch was great! I even added an extension to Maras and moray with this company. An incredible day!

Strongly recommend!

We strongly recommend this experience! Marco was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about alpaca wool and the dying process. It was very interactive and Marco encouraged questions. It is also in a beautiful location with amazing views. It’s a must-do if you’re in Cusco!

Fully worth it! Life changing experience

I was picked up by Walter (the BEST driver ever) and taken to Moray. Incredible views and rich history and culture. Walter was kind enough to help me get pictures since I was traveling solo. We went to Maras and he gave me info about the history, the process, and overall knowledge on salt. I was able to support local shops and hear some live music as well. The best part of the tour was definitely visiting Andean Colors. I was able to meet Miguel and Paolita, who were incredible kind, informative, and fun to be around. The history of Andean Colors is amazing and the mission (to support single mothers providing for their families) is so worth it. I was amazed by how intricate the process of weaving is. I was able to walk an alpaca, feed some animals, dye yarn, use sheep wool to make yarn, and make my own beautiful bracelet. There was also a delicious lunch provided. Overall, this experience will likely be my top Peru experience. I’ll always remember how wonderful every part of this day was and I’ll always think fondly of Paolita and the 38 mothers working to preserve textile knowledge and care for their loved ones.

Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful review. We are truly happy to know that you enjoyed every part of your day—from visiting Moray and Maras with Walter to your experience here at Andean Colors. Miguel and Paolita will be delighted to hear that their kindness and passion made your visit special. Our project exists thanks to the strength of our artisans, especially the 38 single mothers who preserve our ancestral textile knowledge while providing for their families. We’re glad you were able to enjoy the full experience: walking with an alpaca, feeding the animals, dyeing yarn with natural colors, spinning wool, and creating your own bracelet. And of course, sharing a delicious homemade lunch. Thank you for supporting our community and for taking such a meaningful memory of the Andes with you. It will be an honor to welcome you back whenever you return to the Sacred Valley. With gratitude, Andean Colors – Experience a Kaleidoscope of Peruvian Culture

Great place!

Great experience, the people are kind and the experience is fun. You get to see alpacas and llamas, after this you’re shown how their fur is tainted and turned into strings, and at the end you get to buy very nice designs.

Recommended tour

Such an incredible experience. Marco was super nice and informative and showed us so many cool things. He was very friendly as was Hilda. She helped me find all the sizes and colors of the clothing items I wanted. I had a great time. The llamas and alpacas were cute. Also, the snow tipped mountains in the background made pictures super nice. I highly recommend.
