Cerchi una gita di un giorno fuori da Addis Abeba? Fare una gita al lago del cratere di Wenchi è una buona scelta per trascorrere le vacanze del fine settimana. Il lago del cratere di Wenchi si trova 155 km a ovest di Addis Abeba, tra Ambo e Weliso. Un vulcano spento, la cui cima si trova a 3380 metri sul livello del mare, è un cratere che contiene un grande lago, sorgenti minerali calde, cascate, bellissime vallate e terreni agricoli. C'è un antico monastero con una chiesa situata su una delle isole del lago.

Guideremo verso ovest da Addis Abeba al lago Wenchi I suoi 155 km a ovest di Addis Abeba, sulla strada per Ambo e Welliso road questo lago era un vulcano spento (la cui cima è a 3380 metri sul livello del mare) che contiene il cratere un grande lago, sorgenti minerali calde, cascate e bellissime valli e terreni agricoli e il monastero di Kirkos e la valle delle sorgenti calde. Dopo la visita, ritorno ad Addis Abeba. Successivamente sarai trasferito dove vuoi per la tua partenza.

Ethio Travel and Tours were were friendly and professional to deal with and felt like a great local companion to help plan my Ethiopian experience. I had the same guide Biruk and driver Fakr for several tours and they were fantastic: capable, informative and friendly. Wonchi lake itself is beautiful and absolutely worth the trip out from Addis. The gorge walk particularly was some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen anywhere. Would thoroughly recommend Wonchi Lake and Ethio Travel and Tours
Very long drive. 4 hours there not 2 hrs. So 8 hours in total. The lake is beautiful but only there for around 2 hours including lunch. If the description had been accurate I would not have booked as 8 hours in a car is not fun in 1 day.
Albeit long the destination was worth the travail getting there. Took a boat ride on the lake to an island there. There was road construction on the way slowing our progress but hopefully future travelers will have smooth roads. On the way back we were stooped by military authorities who apparently were displeased by our speed of transport. After looking at our passports and hearing the driver's explanation that this was a tour we were given permission to continue back to Addis Ababa. I would live to add photos of my trip but my phone was stolen on my last day in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The day trip to the lake Wonchi is amazing the lake was so beautiful and was really agreat place for refreshing. Ethio Travel and Tours have done a wonderful job on this trip.
