Edimburgo: Aberdeenshire, Castello di Balmoral e costa nordorientale

Il nostro tour di 2 giorni inizia alle 09:00 da Edimburgo. Oltrepassando gli iconici Forth Bridges, ci dirigiamo a Dundee, nota per il suo V&A Museum. Continuiamo a nord verso Montrose per pranzo, famosa per i frutti di mare. Successivamente ti aspettano St Cyrus e il castello di Dunnottar, che offrono viste sulla costa frastagliata e una ricca storia. A Stonehaven, esplora la città prima di dirigerti ad Aberdeen per il pernottamento. Il secondo giorno inizia con una visita al castello di Crathes a ovest di Aberdeen, rinomato per i suoi giardini e la sua storia. Il pranzo a Ballater precede la nostra visita al Castello di Balmoral, il rifugio nelle Highland della monarchia britannica. Dirigendoci a sud, ci fermiamo a Devil's Elbow per ammirare panorami delle Highland e avvistare la fauna selvatica. Dopo una pausa a Perth, nota per la sua storia antica, torniamo a Edimburgo attraverso i Forth Bridges, concludendo il nostro viaggio.

The trip was fantastic. Super views, and so many stories from our guide Adam really made the trip meaningful. Balmoral was beautiful but it wasn't clear we couldn't go in so that was disappointing but still beautiful place to go.

The tour was wonderful and very informative. Our tour guide Lorna was very knowledgeable and friendly, lots of talks and laughter. Thank you Lorna. We really enjoyed the tour. We got to see a lot of the country side as well as lots of castles. Balmoral Castle was definitely the highlight of the tour. We would have liked to spend a little more time there.

The tour was great, loved seeing Balmoral Castle and the mountains in the Highlands. It’s was a nice 2 day tour, our hotel was very nice. Our driver, Adam, was fantastic and had lots of stories and funny quips.

We had a fantastic time on this new tour. Our driver Mark was really funny and informative. He engaged with us all and we were all chatting together. The first day was brilliant. I didn't manage to dunnottar castle but got great photos. The beach we visited was spectacular but busy. It was a nice day though. Lots to see. We stayed overnight in Aberdeen. If I'm honest I would delete Aberdeen from the trip. It's not really a tourist destination but I realise it's for accommodation purposes. Maybe not booking anywhere near union street as it's very noisy. Day two we went to crathes castle. What a beautiful place. People were so friendly and helpful. Gardens are spectacular. Then onto Balmoral. The highlight of the tour. Well what can I say. The royal family must think we are all stupid. All that money to see only the ballroom 🤔 oh you can do a private tour for over £100 erm no thanks. So I throughly recommend this new tour but don't build your hopes up for Balmoral. Even our Australian tour guests said is that it? Maybe park elsewhere and walk in for the cheaper price. We loved our two days. Hopefully we will have mark again on any future trips we do 😁
