La Montaña de Colores, conosciuta anche come Vinicunca o Montagna Arcobaleno, è uno splendido paesaggio naturale delle Ande peruviane, famoso per i suoi strati di colori vivaci, creati da minerali e sedimenti. Una destinazione unica che offre panorami spettacolari e un’esperienza indimenticabile.

Itinerario
Si parte con il pick up dagli hotel situati vicino al centro storico di Cusco, tra le 4 : 00 - 5 : 00 del mattino, viaggeremo circa 2 ore a sud di Cusco. La città di Cusipata sarà la nostra prima tappa dove avrete una deliziosa colazione e il tempo di utilizzare i servizi igienici. Trekking. Poi proseguiremo lungo la strada per il parcheggio per circa 45 minuti fino a raggiungere la base, da dove inizieremo l'escursione, la nostra Guida ci darà le istruzioni necessarie per goderci il tour.
Successivamente faremo una passeggiata di circa 2 ore per raggiungere la Montagna dei 7 Colori, all’arrivo avremo la spiegazione della Guida, tempo sufficiente per scattare foto e visitare gran parte del luogo.
Proseguendo con il tour, attraverseremo la Valle Rossa per circa 30 minuti (opzionale: se il passeggero lo desidera, può andare da solo in un belvedere con una vista spettacolare su una catena di montagne colorate).
Dopo la visita guidata torneremo al veicolo, poi torneremo alla nostra prima sosta a Cusipata dove faremo un pranzo a buffet e poi torneremo alla città di Cusco (orario di arrivo approssimativo 17:30).

When we finally got to rainbow mountain we’re told that you can’t even see it do to snow. An hour later the guide came back to us and said the snow is melting and we could ride the horses to get there quicker. We rode the horses mine got spooked and threw me. The actual guide was very nice tried to help clean me off and stuff and helped me back on the horses. I did not make it up there as the pain had started to kick in. When we got back to the bottom I still had to pay the full price for the horse. The guide did offer me ibuprofen because at this point I was having a hard time to even walk. He also suggested to go to a clinic. I am a little upset as when you were slipping and sliding to get to the top to see rainbow mountain there were hardly any colors (my husband made the climb up)
