Fantastic tour, Désirée was great and made the tour extra fun. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting.
Right from the start, our guide, Sara, brought Edinburgh’s history to life while creating an entertaining tour. She was absolutely amazing causing us to book another tour with City of the Dead the next night. We have joined many tours on our past travels, but due to the quality of the company’s guides, value, and touring sites, they are our top rated company. You cannot go wrong booking with them.
Our guide was Charlie and he was very entertaining! Loads of knowledge and energy. Interesting to learn when, why and how the vaults were used. A bit gruesome in parts but that was how it was at the time so just truthful. Well worth the experience, thank you.
A really enjoyable experience. My friend and I booked this tour last minute, and enjoyed every second! Our wonderful guide, Charlie, was funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable. Would 100% go again!
Great experience from the start through the graveyard to the finish at south bridge vaults. Great value for the money. Our guide Lou was very informative and funny at the same time. Lasted about an hour with our group of 11, but absolutely didn't feel like it dragged on. Would highly recommend.
A fabulous storytelling journey! We were happily impressed by the oral history of some of the most horrific ins and outs of a city’s history we’ve ever heard. Joshua our guide made it dramatic and fully immersive. The vaults were creepy and the silence was deafening. Shout out to Jaime the owner/operator who was especially helpful in resolving our booking snafu. Highly recommended!
Great experience. We did the tour with Anna, very good at making us travel back in time and understand what the situation was in those places. He gave us a lot of information, all very interesting. His great ability to tell made us empathize with the stories of the people who lived in step in Edinburgh. Highly recommended!
I had a lovely time! Charlie is such a great storyteller, and made me both comfortable on the tour with the dark tunnels and still on my toes for the haunted history. He made the history come alive and really made it a full experience for our group. Left knowing more about history, and feeling spooky vibes. Would absolutely go again, and recommend.

We had a fantastic time on the City of the Dead tour in Edinburgh, led by Chris. He was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history to life with his great sense of humour.
