Enjoyable even on a soggy day, the tour was exactly what was promised, while the Scottish countryside showed its rain-drenched beauty. Ryan kept us entertained with his retelling of history, personal anecdotes and passion for cinematographic accuracy, plus handed out a good selection of recommendations for food, museums, and sights to see for any subsequent days spent in Edinburgh.
Who in the family understands. A trip to the Scottish Highlands, which was supposed to be a pleasure, turned out to be disgusting for this travel agency called Haggis Adventures! 🤢 I thought it was an authentic old travel agency, and as a result not only did I feel distinctly different on the trip, but follow-up communication also struck me. ❌[Lightning Protection Point 1: Obvious Differential Treatment] On the day of the trip, as white tourists boarded, driver Steve smiled and said "Welcome aboard." It was the turn of Asian tourists, without even a basic greeting, to be cold-faced throughout. There were six yellows that day, three Chinese and three Filipinos, none of whom was greeted by the driver. And non-English speaking white tourists they all offer to give automatic guides (such as Spanish, French and so on) and they also apparently write out Chinese services, that is to say want to make Chinese money! They didn't even ask me when they came to me. I'm yellow, obviously need to ask if I need a guide in another language?! And then the other white people, they were all delivering the auto-guides to people, and I went to the driver, who was impatient and said, "Why? Run to the store and get it yourself! When I ran to the store, the staff asked me why I was here and she could bring it for me. This discriminatory behavior, it's really disgusting. ❌ "Lightning Point 2: Hypocritical PR Routines" After I wrote the bad review, their manager blamed everything on “miscommunication” and “you didn’t read the information yourself”. I responded. Why are only Asian tourists asked to get off the bus and go back to the store to pick up their equipment? Why is there a welcome speech for white people and silence for Asians? ❌ [Lightning Point 3: Cold Violence After a Breach] Here comes the best. When I justifiably fought, went to the heart of discrimination and demanded a formal apology and refund, the manager, Ayla, broke straight through, ripped off her disguise and dumped the following sentence with extreme rudeness: 👉 “Nothing further will be discussed here.” Then directly and unilaterally cut off communication channels. This arrogant gesture of "just shut you up" is so disgusting, I'm all pure angry and crying! (My Girl) ⚠️ If you're an Asian tourist, take a lightning strike at this Haggis Adventures. Their so-called “30 years of experience” may have been spent on perfunctory and discriminatory treatment of yellow tourists. They don't welcome us, and we definitely don't send money to such arrogant companies!
Thank you for your review. We take concerns of this nature extremely seriously and have carried out a full internal investigation into your tour, including speaking with the driver, trainee guide, and our check‑in team. Unfortunately, due to communication limitations on the platform you booked with, we have been unable to contact you directly to discuss this further. From my investigation, we identified that there were some issues in how our audio guide process was communicated and delivered on the day. This led to confusion during boarding, and we recognise that this impacted your experience. We are sorry for the frustration this caused. However, we would like to be clear that our investigation found no evidence that you, or any other guests, were treated differently based on race. The driver’s approach to greeting and managing passengers is consistent across tours, and this was supported by both staff present on the day and our wider operational review. We do, however, fully acknowledge that your experience did not meet the standard we aim to provide, particularly in how supported you felt during the boarding process and when you raised concerns. On that basis, we have issued a full refund of your tour as a gesture of goodwill. Please contact us at info@haggisadventures.com so we can send the full investigation documentation to you. We welcome thousands of guests from all over the world and are committed to providing a positive, inclusive experience for everyone. Kind regards, Kirsty

Weather was nice when it needed to be, especially walking through the Hermitage. Tiegan was an awesome guide with lots of fun history and stories, also great driver navigating a large coach through the backroads and Dunkeld! Whiskey tour was a great addition to the excursion. Kelpies (my favorite part) were magnificent and we got there before all of the student tour groups (totally uncrowded pictures). Loved walking in the Hermitage and had about an hour to explore it!

Paul was an outstanding guide! One of the best tours we’ve ever been on. The distillery tour guide was also great. This single day trip was jam-packed with interesting history, gorgeous sights, and beautiful time spent outdoors.

Jenny was amazing. Great sense of humour and knowledge of Scottish history. Whiskey tour is definitely an option to take.
Hi, Thanks for your response. Sounds like Jenny gave you a nice experience and glad you enjoyed the whisky tour. Hopefully we can welcome you on tour again in the future! Kind regards, Callum
My husband and I went on the tour to Glenturret distillery with stops to see the Kelpies and the Hermitage (water falls). Our trip was smooth and enjoyable with adequate time at each location. Emily, our guide, was top notch as a driver and curator for the trip. I recommend it highly!
The tour was amazing and it was most because of our guides, Laura and Martin. Who has told us a lot of stories during the trip. Loved it. Really recommended!
Hi Patricia, Thank you for the brilliant review of your recent tour with Laura and Martin. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed it. See you again soon, Ayla
Laurie has to drive and talk! During the journey, the volume of the car music system is often manipulated on the cell phone. Such journeys are not permitted in Scotland either, and are unacceptable with customers in the bus Tour only driver, without guide. Tour in English. Tablet provided unusable for other languages. Only about 3 minutes of explanations per place. The tour of the whisky factory only in English with no translation option (we were offered something else). No tasting, only a tiny drop of whisky given in the factory, as stingy as Scots are. £17.00 per person too expensive. At the end of the tour, we were not dropped off at the meeting point (see program, does not correspond to agreements). This tour is not recommended and is life-threatening, as Laurie also has to act as guide during the journey. The left hand is very often not on the steering wheel, even when Laurie is talking and driving.
Hi there, Thank you for leaving us a review. I am very sorry to hear that your time on tour with us did not meet your expectations and was unsatisfactory. I would like to assure you that all of our driver guides are more than qualified to operate the vehicle that they are driving whilst guiding at the same time. We would not put them on the road if we felt as if doing both of these jobs simaltaenously was a threat to life. I completely understand that not being able to get an audio guide at the distillery is frustrating and I will absolutely pass this feedback on. With regards to the whisky tasting, I am sorry that you did not find the sample adequate. This sample is a standard size that you will be given in most distilleries - not just in Scotland. I have been made aware that you have been in contact with our Sales and Reservations manager to discuss the issues that you have outlined and I hope corresponding with her is helpful. If you do have any further comments or feelings about our tours, please do not hesitate to get in contact us personally and we would be more than happy to discuss these at any length desired. Regards, Rhi
