Itinerario
Il nostro tour inizia dal tuo alloggio e ci dirigiamo verso la Serbia occidentale, nota per la sua natura selvaggia e incontaminata, la cucina gustosa e la gente cordiale e ospitale. Due ore e mezza di viaggio passeremo godendoci gli splendidi paesaggi e ascoltando storie interessanti su questa parte del paese.
Dopo un giro rilassante, arriveremo giusto in tempo per la partenza del famoso treno panoramico Šargan Eight. Una ferrovia a scartamento ridotto unica al giorno d'oggi serve solo per divertimento. Ci fermeremo in diversi punti panoramici durante il nostro giro, da cui si può godere di una vista favolosa su Mokra Gora. Automobili autentiche con sedili in legno, stufe a legna e caratteristici suoni scroscianti ci trasporteranno indietro nel 1925, quando questa ferrovia fu messa in funzione, stabilendo un collegamento tra Belgrado e il mare Adriatico.
Dopo un viaggio di 1,5 ore, torniamo alla stazione di partenza, dove continuiamo il nostro viaggio verso la vicina Mećavnik, conosciuta anche come Drvengrad (città di legno). Il celebre regista Emir Kusturica, due volte vincitore della Palma d’Oro a Cannes, ha deciso di costruirla durante le riprese del suo film “La vita è un miracolo”. Ha scelto di trasportare chalet in legno in rovina dalle pendici della montagna, restaurarli e dotarli di strutture di lusso per formare un nuovo insediamento. Qui, faremo una sosta per gustare un pranzo tradizionale con specialità della rinomata cucina della Serbia occidentale, irresistibilmente deliziose e piccanti (non incluse). Dopo il pasto, avremo un po 'di tempo libero per il relax, per poi continuare con il nostro tour.
Poco dopo, raggiungeremo la nostra prossima tappa, Bajina Bašta, una piccola città ai piedi del monte Tara. Qui, vedremo l’attrazione di fama mondiale, “La casa sulla Drina”, una capanna di tronchi isolata situata su una pietra di fiume. Una fotografia della struttura è stata pubblicata nella “Foto del giorno” del National Geographic, e non molto tempo dopo, questo luogo affascinante è diventato uno dei luoghi più fotografati dei Balcani.
La nostra ultima tappa per la giornata è uno dei punti panoramici più famosi della zona, “Kapija Podrinja”. Da qui si gode di una vista mozzafiato sulle montagne circostanti.
Infine, torneremo a casa, cavalcando attraverso la natura incontaminata delle montagne Povlen. Dopo un giro di circa due ore e mezza, compresa una sosta, arriveremo a Belgrado nel pomeriggio. Lasciateli nei vostri hotel. Fine dei servizi.

Pick-up è possibile da qualsiasi hotel, Airbnb, o pensione situata nel raggio di 5 km da Piazza della Repubblica. Per i luoghi di ritiro a più di 5 km da Piazza della Repubblica, si prega di mettersi in contatto con noi direttamente. Nota importante: a seconda delle condizioni del traffico, della posizione del tuo hotel/Airbnb, del numero e delle posizioni dei luoghi di prelievo il giorno del tuo viaggio, potremmo chiederti di raggiungere a piedi il punto di prelievo più vicino (mai più di 7-8 minuti di cammino dal luogo in cui alloggi). Se desideri iniziare il tuo tour all'aeroporto di Belgrado, puoi farlo con un supplemento di 15 € (disponibile solo nei tour privati).

Urus our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining giving lots of local insight during the lengthy drive. The trip was close to 12 hours and to be honest is quite a long time in a minivan for what you see. The mountain railway is entertaining enough but not that spectacular if you have been on similar journeys say in the alps. The wooden village was interesting but again not really worth a trip all the way from Belgrade in our opinion. To be clear, I’m not complaining because the tour was exactly as described with an excellent guide. We stoped for lunch at a local restaurant beside the last stop on the railway, the food was basic but well prepared and inexpensive. The house in the river is a nice novelty sight and the mountain view point at 1400m on the journey back was very impressive. Overall a well organised trip and good value for money however I’d save these attractions for when you are in the area rather than make a special effort from Belgrade.
Had the pleasure to explore Serbia western region with Victor Tours (the operator offering this tour) and everything went smooth. Our operator Marko was definitely prepared about the whole historic and cultural backgrounds of the places we stopped at. The small group I took the tour with was composed by young guys like me and this helped a lot to have something to talk about and share since the trip is quite long even by car. The train ride was fun and the landscapes it allowed me to see were the cherry on top. The guide also let us decide if we wanted to stay longer for photos at Wooden Town or rather move to Drina House and lunch around there. The whole experience has been absolutely great, from the pickup to the end and we arrived just in time for Belgrade sunset, which I value as an extra pro to recommend this tour.
Marko was our tour guide and driver and he was fantastic! Highly recommend this tour if you want an easy tour to check out some really cool sites. The train was pretty cool, but I didn’t love the seat assignments as it was free for all and people like to save their seats. But please note you can walk the cabins and find any empty seats you want!
Long day but great sites - Sarah train, the wooden house, the views along the way. The river house - in the eve, you can’t view it clearly as you look straight in to the sun. Could be due to the time of the year.

This trip is highly recommended, Jovan is a fantastic guide that for the day trip. The drive is long but he makes it fun, in between the time that he introduces the places he has a good song list to play. If u have a day to spend this is a must do trip.

Very good trip, fantastic scenery. The railway trip is the highlight. Lunch in the wooden village restaurant is very good & reasonabky priced. It is a long day.

It was a veey good trip with lively Jovan he has immense knowledge and was caring and friendly. This is the most underrated tour in Belgrade. I went with Jovan and he was a great tour guide and great driver. The train ride was very interesting with a few stops for photos. (I recommend the lady selling cheese pastries at the train station). Next is the wooden mountain town of a film director. Which I'd never heard of but was very unique experience. Lastly, we ate lunch at the drina river in front of the little house food was great. A long day but worth it. Do this trip.
