We are a family of three(including a 10-year-girl) and we had a wonderful experience with Lucy Ethiopia Tours on our five-day trip, covering Afar in the north, the Omo Valley in the south, and Addis Ababa. From the very beginning, Kiros was extremely responsive and flexible. The actual execution was even more reassuring. From the moment we arrived in Ethiopia, we were met by guides at every destination, so we never had to worry about where to go or what to do next. Nana, from the office team, also kindly checked us in for each flight in advance, which saved us a lot of time and unnecessary queuing. The highlight of the trip for us was definitely Afar, especially our driver Abraham and guide Yonas. Afar is an incredibly demanding destination, and their professionalism made all the difference. We had to leave around 2 a.m. on the second day and drive through complete darkness, rough roads, sand dunes, potholes... Abraham’s driving was exceptionally skilled and careful, always finding the best way through the difficult terrain while trying to keep the journey as comfortable as possible. Yonas was equally impressive. He was consistently positive, cheerful, attentive, and thoughtful. His attitude transformed what could have been an exhausting journey into something we genuinely enjoyed. Even the drivers from the other vehicles in our group were incredibly kind and helpful—one even lent us his personal neck fan to help us cope with the heat. We really appreciate the team's work. In Addis Ababa, our guide Solomon also gave us a great sense of security while remaining very flexible and accommodating. There were, of course, a few small imperfections along the way, but they did not take away from the overall experience in a country where traveling can sometimes be logistically challenging. Our family had an amazing time! The trip was perfect- We visited Lake Afdera, Erta Ale, Lake Assale and Dallol. Great tour. Danakil exceeded hype in its beauty. DO take the dip in the small salt pool on the salt flats (I’ve still got a smile on my face). Finally, Lucy Ethiopia was a great choice of tour operator. As a solo traveler I paid slightly more than some others in group but the value of my using this operator really showed when overnight, all flights were cancelled out of Mekele due to unrest in Northern Ethiopia. With one WhatsApp message, Kiros rebooked my flight from another airport outside the affected area and arranged transport (with no charge). In less than a day, I was back on schedule. Great work guys.

i did 43 countries so far, and this very one will remain as unforgettable. we went to Erta Ale, we could see the lava glowing thru some cracks. The night camp sleeping was great.
