Our tour guide Marco was incredible! He was so kind and the perfect balance of history, knowledge. He was informative, kind and had a great sense of humor. Maria was phenomenal, her food was exceptional. 12/10. A great way to start your trip here in Azores!

My sister and I had a wonderful time! The guide was so knowledgeable and caring and made sure we were well taken care of. All the pre dinner stops were tasty and fun. The food and wine were delicious. Our little group enjoyed learning about each other too. I would do this tour again!
Really nice evening, our guide Naja (probably spelt that wrong, sorry) and Maria were great hosts. Possibly not quite what I was expecting, thought we were just going into bars but we also went into a market and a wine shop to taste wine (thought wine shop was just to get us to buy wine but Naja asked us if we kindly minded not buying then but to go back another time if we wanted it so this clearly this wasn’t just to get us to spend money which was so refreshing). Shared the evening with lovely people, 2 ladies in particular from Cape Cod. We are from England so it was great listening to their stories. Finished off with Maria cooking us a delightful tapas style meal in beautiful surroundings. Thank you both and great way to meet people!
Hungry Whales food tour and our guide Ishaja were amazing! Don’t miss this experience. You will stop at a few local shops including a cocktail bar, a wine bar, a cheesemonger, and their private dining experience called Rootz well you will sample delicious local fare and wine. All of this while learning about the local culture of Azore.
Had a delightful evening wandering Ponta Delgada and sampling yummy spirits/wines and local treats. We visited a number of small bars/shops that we would never have found otherwise- particularly liked @petrichor.bar! The highlight was probably our full 3 + course meal (after numerous samples) at the incredible Hungry Whales venue! This meal was cooked specifically for us featuring a variety of traditional Azores dishes. Fresh, delicious and such a personal touch! I would recommend heartily!
This was a perfect intro to the island. Plenty of food and drink along with the history. I received a better tour with more info than the walking tour my group booked later in the afternoon. Would highly recommend.
Excellent food and wine tour. I highly recommend you take this tour while visiting Ponta Delgado. We learned so much about the area and it was the best meal we had while visiting.
