This was the highlight of our trip to Sao Miguel! Our tour guide was so knowledgable and kind, we had the best time with her! We got to try so many different foods- we cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Must do in Ponta Delgada!
This walking food tour was absolutely amazing! Raphael gave us such a deep understanding and history of the food/ culture in the Azores. We stopped at 4 different restaurants as well as other stops along the way for local cheeses and snacks! 10/10 highly recommend!
A great way to see the town and learn about the culture through food. Lana was a great guide.
Great start to our trip. It was the perfect way to orient to the island, its history and ponta delgada. We were able to try many foods and see the market where locals shop for fresh fruit/veggies and fish. Walking was not strenuous at all. A very enjoyable first activity for our trip!
We enjoyed seeing parts of the city while enjoying different foods and learning interesting information. The guide, Marco, made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun.
Lana was great! There was a lot of variety of foods, and she provided interesting history and facts about each one.
Thoroughly enjoyed the small group Ponta Delgada food tour with Hungry Whales. We had a knowledgeable guide, a variety of delicious Azorean food/drink waiting at every stop, and a beautiful half-day touring the city. We couldn’t have asked for more!
Fantastic introduction to the Azores. We scheduled this our first morning upon arrival and it provided us with a great overview of the Azores and the food, as well as recommendations for the rest of our time in Sao Miguel. Highly recommended. Lana was wonderful. Thank you.
Amazing way to both learn about the city and Azorean culture as well as try some fantastic local food! Our guide was very knowledgeable and created a fun and engaging environment. We had breakfast, fruit, cheese, two sit down lunch spots and dessert.
Raphael was a great tour guide - very friendly and informative. We learned some history about the area as well as the local food and drinks. He was also a good source of information about things to do on the rest of our trip. The pace of the tour was good. We were able to sample many types of food, including breakfast, tea, fruit, a delicious lunch, and dessert. I highly recommend! My family (husband, 18 yr old son, 21 yr old daughter) and I all enjoyed ourselves.
