Dans cette visite à pied, vous découvrirez la ville de Valence, une ville dynamique et moderne qui a beaucoup changé ces dernières années, de son origine romaine (fondée en 138 avant JC par Junius Brutus un consul romain) une autre attraction importante comme le bourse de la soie (Lonja), elle a été déclarée monument du patrimoine mondial en 1996 par l'UNESCO et est l'une des plus célèbres artitrcture que l'Europe puisse offrir, ou la Catedral où vous pouvez voir le Saint Graal où il a été célébré la dernière Cène du Christ, à l'architecture moderne comme la Cité des Arts et des Sciences avec des créations de Santiago Calatrava de Valence, un espace de loisirs, où la culture et la science occupent une place prépondérante. Valence est une ville de contrastes où vous aurez l'embarras du choix si vous séjournez quelques jours à Valence : de grandes plages de sable, le Port America's Cup et la Marina, le Jardin du Turia (ancien lit du fleuve Turia, transformé en jardin ) où vous pouvez faire des randonnées à vélo, le Parc Naturel de l'Albufera...

La gare du Nord, l'un des plus beaux exemples encore conservés en Espagne de l'architecture ferroviaire, un bâtiment de style moderniste de la Sécession, inauguré en 1917 par l'architecte Demetrio Ribes de Valence. L'un des principaux objectifs esthétiques était d'y intégrer différents produits de l'industrie valencienne (forgy, clôtures en fer, bois, céramique, bronze et pierre) comme s'ils essayaient d'accueillir tout le monde avec des produits de cette région.
La place ronde est l'un des endroits les plus pittoresques de la ville. Il a été construit de 1839 à 1856 afin que les ventes de rue puissent être réglementées. il est composé de trois étages. bâtiments symétriques et locaux commerciaux. Il y a une piscine d'eau plate avec une fontaine centrale (qui était l'une des premières fontaines d'eau potable à Valence). Vous y trouverez toutes sortes de broderies, vêtements pour bébés, céramiques et autres souvenirs.
La Lonja - Commodity Exchange, est l'un des monuments les plus caractéristiques de la ville, en plus d'être l'un des exemples les plus célèbres d'architecture civile gothique que l'Europe puisse offrir. Cet édifice était destiné à la réalisation de transactions commerciales liées à la prospérité qui caractérisait la ville à la fin du XVe siècle. Très intéressant est le Hall of Pillars ou Contract Hall avec ses 24 colonnes hélicoïdales qui font allusion aux cordes du navire ou à la soie torsadée, s'ouvrant comme des palmiers. Il a été déclaré monument du patrimoine mondial en 1996.
Le marché central est un bâtiment de style moderniste construit entre 1914-1928. C'est l'un des plus grands d'Europe, avec une superficie de plus de 8 000 mètres carrés. Ce marché de près de 400 stands, est un délice esthétique et un plaisir pour les sens. Ce centre de vente de produits frais se distingue par sa combinaison exquise de verre et de métal et par son dôme central terminé par une girouette en forme de perroquet, faisant allusion à la grande agitation des gens.
La cathédrale a été construite à l'emplacement d'un temple romain, plus tard une mosquée, elle remonte au 13ème siècle. Le mélange de styles architecturaux, du roman au baroque, peut être vu dans chacune de ses trois portes: la porte principale, ou Puerta de los Hierros, est baroque, la Puerta de los Apóstoles est gothique, et c'est là que tous les jeudis à 12 heures, le Tribunal de l'eau a lieu, une institution qui existe depuis plus de 1000 ans (elle a été fondée en 960) sans interruption et applique toujours la loi orale qui régit l'utilisation de l'eau dans les champs fertiles de Valence .La troisième porte est la Puerta del Palau, de style roman. La chapelle du Saint Graal, qui abrite le calice utilisé par Jésus-Christ lors de la dernière Cène, est à noter. Le beffroi "Miguelete" de la cathédrale offre une vue magnifique sur la ville après avoir gravi les 207 marches de la tour. I will start with the positive. The guide was very easy to coordinate with and even provided personal contact information. When we were late for our meetup time and needed to change the location, she was very amenable to the change. This was a private tour. Unfortunately, the tour was disappointing. We immediately told her that we had a limited amount of time and provided the time that we needed the tour to end. We also indicated that some of us on the tour (we were 8 in total) would only get to see Valencia through this tour - so we only wanted the highlights. This was my third guided tour of Valencia, so I kind of knew what the highlights should be. She started the tour at a very minor administrative building and spent what felt like an eternity, but was probably more like 10-15 minutes discussing the building's history and the bunkers. The tour was in English, but the guide had a very strong Spanish accent and she spoke softly so it was very difficult to understand her unless you were very close to her. At the church, she went on and on and on about the golden chalice, after I had reiterated that we just needed the highlights. It felt like she had her presentation and could not vary from it. She did take us to a place that had unsweetened horchata which was refreshing. In the end, we did not get to see many of the amazing historical buildings of Valencia.
Guide very prepared kind and knew how to give us many tips... he also accompanied us to the bio park explaining everything very well, even with our children was very engaging... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Our guide Angela was very professional and answered questions prompt before the activity. She was so accommodating to change our pick up point from the station so we didn’t get lost. She gave an outline of what we will see and change the timeline to give show us things/shops we were interested. Very educational and knows her city very well and had audio visual aides to illustrate history and the things we were seeing. Inside the city hall , the silk exchange, the mercato and the cathedral were a must ! She is wonderful !

SARA was an excellent guide. She has a polite and friendly character and certainly knows a lot about the history of Valencia which she explained to us all. She was very knowledgeable. Sara was patient allowing us time to dawdle and admire the scenery. The town was fairly busy but she managed to steer us through the crowds.

I am a teacher at the Artistic High School of Naples. Yesterday I took 83 students to Valencia on a cruise. Already on the ship Angela contacted me and gave us advice on which buses to take. He reserved a public bus for 89 people for us and made it divert to show us the city of science. Then Angela Dora and Pilar showed us around the city and with a lot of patience they answered all the questions and needs. It was a more than positive experience. When we return with other classes we will ask about them.
