Cours de cuisine de paella, dégustation de vins et marché central de Valence

Description

My daughter and I had the best experience visiting the market, learning to make paella, and tasting local wines! Reyes and Amber were amazing hosts who provided the perfect balance of instructive information and hands on learning. Our group, initially all strangers bonded during the 4 hours, and we thoroughly enjoyed talking to and sharing our paellas with our table mates. We highly recommend this class for a true Valencian experience!
Juan and Amber were amazing hosts! We learned so much about the origins of paella and then this hands on experience taught us how to cook it! Eating our product at the end with the wine was a fantastic way to finish the class. It was fun, interactive and overall one of the most memorable experiences we have had in Spain!
The class started a good ways away from the market. Should have been a closer starting point. The leader kept stopping in 95 degree sun-drenched plazas to talk about history: not a part of this tour. (And why not in the shade?!) By the time we got back to the LOVELY class venue it was 3 or 3:30. Lots of wasted time in my opinion. I was interested in COOKING! that’s the whole reason we came to Valencia. Oncevwe got started it was fun!
We had the most amazing experience with Reyes and Michelle on the Paella Cooking Class with Valencia Central Market Tour. Reyes met us and walked us through València and telling us about the history of the place. We visited the Central market where we bought the last ingredients for our paella and then headed back to the cooking school where Michelle was waiting with a glass of Cava and some nibbles. Reyes took us step by step through the process of making paella, while Michelle bought us glasses of the most delicious wine and some fabulous tapas and pintxo. At the end of the morning we sat down to one of the best paellas we’ve ever tasted, along with more wine and a glass of Mistela a local liqueur. Reyes and Michelle were so welcoming and great fun and gave us lots of ideas of places to see and restaurants to visit for the rest of our holiday. We would highly recommend anyone doing this course, we had the best time!
Great experience, Juan was incredibly informative and helpful with both cooking and Valencian history. Luna was great with the wine pairings, tasting notes, tapas, and was very accommodating to allergies in our group.
Great experience! Got to go to the central market and walk around a bit. I was paired up with another solo person and we hit it off. Everyone in my group was awesome! Learned a lot of little things I wouldn’t have thought of to do when making paella. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic!! Highlight of our trip! Victor was AMAZING! Very organized, personable and knowledgeable! Market was closed so Victor gave a short tour of the area recommending many eateries! I’d do this one again! Fun! fun! Fun! We had a great group of people from around the world and after cooking, we ate our paella family style. And by the way, our paella was delicious! Thanks Victor and staff(who served wine and tapas throughout)! Well done!
We had a great time! Victor and Comrac were wonderful hosts and made us all feel welcome - and the paella and wine tasted amazing 🤩
This was an amazing experience! It was informative, well organized and most of all - fun! Being from the US it was great to meet people from other countries. Our chef was passionate about teaching us the proper way to cook paella.
I spent two weeks in Valencia and this Paella cooking class was one of the highlights of my stay. It was really fun going through the Central Market and buying ingredients and our chef also explained to us many details of Old Town as we were walking to the cooking class. Our check / instructor Reyes was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything Valencia (great check and great guide). The cooking class was amazing: great facility, easy instructions, fabulous wines. We started off with a glass of Cava and while we were cooking the wine kept flowing. There were three small parties in the class each cooking a different Paella so we got to taste the difference which was a bonus. I highly recommend this experience.
