Description

The tour starts with a bus ride to the caves and our tour guide, Uriel, explained things as we passed by Valencia and into the outskirts. Once we got to the caves, we had about 25 minutes to take pictures, grab a water or visit the restrooms. Then, we were allowed to go into the caves. It is a boat ride inside the caves and you are not allowed to take pictures until directed to do so. It feels a little chilly in the cave and that was quite nice considering the summer heat outside. Our bus/tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to be on my boat, but be advised that usually, the cave boat guides only speak Spanish and the bus guide does not usually go on the boats. The caves portion was about 40 minutes long and very interesting. The ride was smooth back to Valencia and it was overall a great trip! It was a great way to start our day.
A wonderful experience at the Coves de Sant Josep! The visit was very well organized and the place is truly spectacular. A special thanks goes to our guide, Monika, who proved to be extremely knowledgeable and passionate. During the trip, she told us many interesting facts about the history of Valencia and the surrounding areas, making the journey as interesting as the visit itself. Her explanations were clear, engaging, and never boring. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the area.
The journey has been amazing. Lovely Experience. thank you so much.
The tour operators were great. We had a good time in the bus; Ferran was very informative and fun. The cave tour is run by a separate company which was very organized. Time in the cave was short but very calming….
Hi Gizelle, Thank you so much for your kind review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that Ferran helped make the journey both informative and fun. We will be sure to pass your lovely comments on to him. We are also pleased that everything ran smoothly from the logistical side. Thank you again for choosing us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Valencia in the future! Kind regards, Carolina
The caves are really cool! The experience is good for all ages with little walking! It is not too long!
Thank you for your lovely review! 😊 We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed this unique experience. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon! Best regards, The Valencia & Go Team
The tour guide on the bus spoke English. Our guide on the boat did not so during the tour we had no idea what he was saying.
Thank you for your feedback, Jennifer. As mentioned in the tour description, the boatmen inside the caves may only speak Spanish, which is why our guide explains the history and what to expect in English before entering. They also make themselves available during the ride back to Valencia to answer questions or clarify anything that wasn’t understood during the boat tour. We appreciate your comments.
This review is not to say you shouldn't book this excursion. But it is to honestly state what happened. We are two sincere, honest people who work hard to go on vacation. This year it was finally the case again and we enjoy Valencia. We wanted to book the jose caves for my 40th birthday. That's totally our thing so we were really looking forward to it. We booked the tickets through a tourist point and ended up at valencia and go through him. So said so done we were told that the meeting point at the church torros del serrano. We had to be there at 1:16. We are punctual people so was already at 12:30. Because we were in doubt about the place of meeting, we called the people from the tour. They sent a picture of where we were supposed to be. We did a nice job of that. It was a place of a fence but also a kind of square. We went to stand there nicely. I think it's a metre away from the fence. The sun was shining and the fence was just in the bright sun. So we just stood next to the fence in the shade with the papers of valencia and go in our hands so that one could see that we belonged. At 1.15pm we called again... because we had to be ready 5 minutes in advance. They said the bus would be there in two minutes. We'll stand quietly. At 13.20 we call again and during the phone call, we see to great surprise, the bus drive away. We indicate that by phone and it is said that the tour leader has been waiting there for 5 minutes?? She took a picture of the fence to prove we weren't there. However, can I hope that a tour guide also looks a little further than her nose is long, right? We were right there. No, not chained to the fence, but three feet off it. In addition, no one accosted us and she was not wearing a recognizable shirt. We called, so she knows we were there. What's so mean is that we're genuinely two honest people, we paid a lot of money for this field trip, and we've been so badly abandoned. We were standing with the paper and the flyer of valencia to go in our hands. By calling and reporting what had happened to us, we already noticed that there was no understanding at all. We weren't up against the fence so ready, period. 1. No one indicated that we had to face the fence by definition. 2. The meeting point was the church. A church has 4 sides? 3. We called to verify that we were in the right place, a photo was sent of the exact spot, and there we went. 4. No one spoke to us about whether we belonged 5. There was no one wearing a recognizable shirt so we could recognize it and point 6. We called 3 times, so they had to know it was there. They haven't even contacted us. We are genuinely disappointed. This was a trip for my 40th birthday that ruined his now. After complaining to them, they would cooperate with nothing. No leniency, no humanity. No refunds but no other date either. We were not on the spot and ready. Never will I recommend anyone to them. I can take a lot and we would indeed have been wrong, hey, own stupid mistake. I acknowledge it, accept it and move on. But injustice, I can't stand it very well. And this really feels like injustice. The tourist office has tried to mediate but also in this, no cooperation. There goes 140 euros.. a nice afternoon out and my present for my 40th. Thanks Valencia to go!! You're tough, you're callous, and I wouldn't ever recommend you to anyone. Again, this is not a review to say that you should not book with them but to indicate how people are treated. Risk you run if he books them. I know that my feeling and my review will not affect you because we have experienced that you are numb. The money was already in so why be human or sensitive? But I want to let you know from my own self how deeply disappointed we are in you. A deeply disappointed side from the Netherlands.
Atentamente, Valencia & Go
The caves are worth the trip but be aware they are around an hour from Valencia and the boat and walk through the caves is approximately 50 mins. The company is well organised and text to inform you of changes etc.We enjoyed the journey to and from the caves because it allowed us to see the rural areas.
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 We love hearing that the experience left you with great memories beyond the destination itself. Creating smooth and enjoyable days for our guests is exactly what we strive for. We hope to welcome you on another adventure soon! Best regards, The Valencia & Go Team
Great tour and great tour guide Jorge. Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and its history.

Nice experience. The caves are very impressive and beautiful inside. Very nice to make a trip through with the explanation of the guide.
