L'île de Skye est un lieu mystique et magique qui a longtemps été associé aux fées. Cette excursion d'une journée au départ d'Inverness vous emmène à certains de ces endroits où vous pouvez passer du temps à marcher et à vous imprégner de l'atmosphère. En route pour l'île de Skye, nous nous arrêterons au château d'Eilean Donan pour une séance de photos. Les bassins des Fées au pied des montagnes Cuillin où certains visiteurs sont tentés de nager et la guerre de la femme aux yeux uniques a eu lieu en 1601 , on dit aussi que les Selkies avaient l'habitude de se défaire de leur peau aquatique et de prendre une forme humaine et de se baigner dans les bassins au clair de lune. Le Fairy Glen sur la péninsule de Trotternish est un bel endroit paisible avec des vues magnifiques et de belles promenades.

Nous nous arrêtons au château d'Eilean Donan en route vers Skye pour une séance photo
Nous traversons le pont de Skye sur notre chemin vers Skye et par temps clair, il y a quelques vues fantastiques sur les montagnes Cuillin en arrière-plan.
Nous nous arrêtons au vieux pont de Sligachan où la légende locale veut que si vous vous lavez le visage dans la rivière pendant 7 secondes, vous aurez une beauté éternelle
Les piscines des Fées sont situées au pied des montagnes de Cuillin. Les voyageurs peuvent marcher jusqu'aux piscines et passer du temps dans ce cadre magnifique. On s'arrête ici pendant 2 heures. Veuillez vous habiller et être prêt pour le temps humide et venteux
Portree est la ville principale de l'île de Skye et nous nous arrêtons ici pour déjeuner et une occasion pour vous de voir la ville et son très joli port.
Les voyageurs peuvent marcher jusqu'au Fairy Glen, nous passons 1 heure ici.

What breath taking views! The ride out to Skye is stunning! Billy customized the tour to our liking and was very knowledgable. He told great stories and we learned a lot about Scottish history and culture. He stocked the car with great snacks and even bought more of our favorites for the ride back! He also guided us to the best spot to dip our faces for the fairy blessing! Thanks for taking great care of us!

Our day with Billy on Skye ended up being the absolute highlight of our trip. We were traveling with young kids, and both Lawrence (during booking) and Billy (on the actual tour) made everything feel easy and taken care of. The van was clean and very comfortable, and Billy checked in often to make sure we had water, snacks, and plenty of bathroom breaks — which any parent knows is essential. Most of all, Billy was a fantastic guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful with our children. It was a truly memorable day for our whole family.

This is a great trip from Inverness, but note it is a long drive to the Isle of Skye and there is a lot of driving once you are on the Island itself. Weather can also be a big factor and can change suddenly. On the day we went it rained the entire time. We still had a wonderful time and our guide did a great job trying to adjust for the weather.

100% recommend! Billy was an amazing tour guide. The van we traveled in was well stocked with snacks, clean and safe. The knowledge and stories were amazing and we had great conversations! It is well worth the cost! Plus they let you make changes within reason to the private tour, so if you want a bit more time somewhere you can.

Must book! We had so much fun and saw GORGEOUS sites. Lawrence gave us great history into Scotland and its landscape. It felt personal and customized to us and our needs. I’ve been on many tours and this was one of the best!

We had a comprehensive, scenic, unforgettable tour of the Isle of Skye. If you want an intimate tour of all the main landmarks of Skye in a day without feeling rushed and feeling satisfied that you got to see all you could, this is your tour. As a side note, Dalmour 12 tastes especially good when standing on top of Quirang.

I am not usually one to write reviews but I truly loved my tour with Skye Fairy Tours! It was a misty day but it was brightened up with Lawrence’s insightful knowledge of the local area and history, and his warm personality. It can be nerve racking at times travelling solo but I felt at ease with Lawrence instantly and was able to enjoy a fun filled day. We went to many sights but my favourite were the fairy pools and fairy glen. It was an amazing tour! I had researched and could not find any other tour that hit so many of the iconic spots in one tour. It is worth your time and money, you will not be disappointed!

It was a great full day! We had Graham as our guide and he was fantastic. He was flexible with what we wanted to do and informed us at each stop what we were looking at and what the time frame looked like. We were travelling as a group of 5 and one being a 3yr old and Graham was so good with him!

There was 5 of us traveling with our 90 year old mother. Lawrence was right on time for tour. He was wonderful making sure our grandmother was well taken care of and able to see the sights. We had a fantastic day!!
