Visite privée de l'île de Skye depuis Inverness

Description

My family has traveled all over the world and experienced more tours than we can count, from large group excursions to intimate private experiences. Yet nothing compares to the time we spent with Fin. From the very beginning, it felt as though we weren't traveling with a guide but with a member of the family. Fin's kindness, warmth, and genuine care for each of us were evident in every moment. What touched us most was the way she looked after my mother, whose limited mobility can sometimes make travel challenging. She never allowed her to feel left behind or unable to participate. Through her thoughtfulness and attention, she made sure she experienced everything possible, and that gift means more to our family than words can express. Fin took the time to truly listen to us, learning what interested and excited us, and she effortlessly adapted the tour—even in the moment—to create experiences that felt personal and unforgettable. Her passion for Isle of Skye, her pride in Scotland, and her enthusiasm for sharing both with others were infectious. The memories we made during our time together will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We are deeply grateful to both Fin and Michelle for their extraordinary hospitality, generosity, and kindness. They didn't just show us Scotland—they opened their hearts to us and made us feel welcome in a way we will never forget. What we weren't prepared for was how deeply this tour of Isle of Skye would affect us. We arrived expecting beautiful scenery, great whisky, and interesting stories. We left with something far more meaningful: memories, friendships, and a connection to a place and people that will remain with us forever.
Trissa, thank you so much for your amazing review. I can't express how much I enjoyed showing your family around. Met as strangers- left as friends, for sure! Even if that "Ghillie Dhu" tried to spoil our plans. Haste Ye Back!
Fantastic experience! Fulfilled the dream trip of a lifetime. Finella had great good humour and love of the place, a fantastic source of knowledge. The experience couldn’t have been better.
Thank you so much for your kind review, Dougald. I had a fantastic time taking your family to Skye! I am glad you all enjoyed the experience. Haste Ye Back!
We had a great day on our tour of Skye with Fin. Our tour was going to be impacted by bad weather. She offered to reschedule for a better weather day that fit our travel schedule. The tour allowed for an efficient way to see the best spots on Skye from our home base of Inverness.
Thank you so much Dan, for your kind review. I had a great time showing your around Skye and I am glad that you enjoyed your day visiting Skye!
This trip was incredible! Finn was so knowledgeable: from history, Scottish culture, music , geology, best pull offs for photos….she knew something about everything. She made us all feel comfortable, offering suggestions of activities but also following our lead of what we most wanted to see and do. She spoke easily with adults and teen. Highly recommend the hospitality and knowledge of Finn and Tartan Trailblazers! “Good craic!”
Thank you so much for your kind review! I am so glad you enjoyed the tour and were able to eplore Skye in the way you wanted. I definately had good craic with you guys also! Haste ye Back!
10/10 would recommend Finn and Michele!! My family and I had THE BEST time!! We spent two days with them and it was easily our favorite two days in Scotland. They were flexible with our timeline and we never felt rushed. The bus was super comfortable AND they had Scottish snacks for us to try. We even did a couple of whiskey shots 🥳 Finn did an excellent job at giving us the history of all the sites as well as answering our questions. Michele was by far the best bus driver the highlands has ever seen. I can’t recommend the Tartan Trailblazers enough!
Thank you so much for your kind review! We really enjoyed showing your group around the Highlands, and enjoyed the video reel you put together! If you're ever back in the Highlands let us know. Haste Ye Back!
Our private tour from Inverness to the Isle of Skye with Fin was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we began the journey, Fin’s warmth, expertise, and genuine passion for the Highlands made the entire experience exceptional. She brought the history, legends, and landscapes to life with stories that were both captivating and deeply rooted in local culture. Fin curated the perfect itinerary for us, adapting the day to match our interests and the conditions. The highlight was visiting the dramatic and breathtaking Quiraing—one of the most stunning landscapes we’ve ever seen. Thanks to her deep local knowledge, we explored at the perfect pace and enjoyed viewpoints and photo stops (which included coos) that felt far from the usual crowds. Her attention to detail, friendly personality, and easygoing nature made the day feel relaxed and personalized. She offered great recommendations, answered every question with enthusiasm, and made sure we never felt rushed. If you’re thinking about exploring the Isle of Skye, we cannot recommend Fin highly enough. She’s an outstanding guide who delivers a tour that is both meaningful and memorable. Truly a perfect day from start to finish!
Thank you so much for your incredible review. I had the most amazing time showing you all around Skye. Any time you are back, don't hesitate to get in touch.
We had an unforgettable day touring the Isle of Skye with Tartan Trailblazers. Our guide, Finella, was fantastic: knowledgeable, engaging, and full of personality. Highlights included hikes to the Old Man of Storr and Loch Coruisk, meeting Highland “hairy coos,” and visiting Sligachan Bridge. Finella’s local stories, music and tasty treats made it particularly special. Michelle’s planning was flawless. Highly recommend and can’t wait for another tour with this amazing team!
Thank you so much for your kind review of our tour! We enjoy working together to create unforgettable experiences, so I am glad you enjoyed the day. Haste Ye Back!
Excellent day with Fin, our local guide. We were there as “Storm Amy” blew in with 100 mph winds on the isle of Skye, Fin rearranged our itinerary to keep us just ahead of the storm and let us experience as much of the isle as possible, we saw lots and had a very enjoyable day under less than ideal conditions. Highly recommend any group that could pull this together for us.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so glad you enjoyed your time even through we had to jig things around due to Storm Amy steaming in! Haste Ye Back!
Wonderful way to see the Isle of Skye - our local guide, Fin, was very knowledgeable about the area, and was pleasant and fun to be with. We traveled as Storm Amy was coming in with 100 mph winds and rain, but Fin arranged our tour and schedule in such a way as to avoid any problems and be able to see absolutely as much as possible! Our small group of four made for a great day - we highly recommend.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I am glad you guys enjoyed your day on Skye and that Storm Amy wasn't able to ruin our day. It was a wee bit windy right enough! Haste Ye Back!
We booked this private tour at the last minute. But the tour guide Finella contacted us quickly, and it only took us a few minutes to finalise the departure time, place and itinerary. What we booked is a one-day trip from inverness to Skye Island and back, which is a long way to drive. Fortunately, the weather was very good on the day of the trip. We went from the castle on the shores of Loch ness to various scenic spots on Sky Island, and the weather was good all the way. Finella took us to the An-corran beach full of dinosaur footprints, which is not easy for the bus tour group to reach, and the Quiraing viewing point overlooking half of Skye Island, and the magical "Apostolic Footprints" on the last way back, which are all memorable and wonderful journeys that must be tried in your life! Although the journey is mainly to enjoy the natural scenery, Finella, as a local, highlander , is very proficient in humanities, history, geography and even the development of religion, language and population in the highland areas, which makes the whole journey even more special. Finally, she also gave a lot of suggestions for our dinner arrangements and the next day's itinerary. If you have limited time, I think private tour is the only way to enjoy the essence of skye Island in the shortest time. I will definitely recommend this to you.
Thank you so much for your incredibly review. I had an amazing time showing you around the Isle of Skye and journeying there together. Haste Ye Back!
