Arashiyama est une zone rurale de Kyoto avec une très belle nature. Arashiyama est célèbre pour sa forêt de bambous. Nichée à la périphérie ouest de Kyoto, Arashiyama offre un mélange de charme historique et de paysages époustouflants qui captivent les visiteurs du monde entier.
Kinkaku-ji, également connu sous le nom de Pavillon d'Or, est un temple bouddhiste zen vénéré situé à Kyoto, au Japon. Réputé pour son architecture époustouflante et ses environs pittoresques, le Kinkaku-ji témoigne de la beauté de l'artisanat et de la spiritualité japonaise. Les deux étages supérieurs du temple sont ornés de feuilles d'or scintillantes, créant une vue à couper le souffle qui se reflète dans l'étang tranquille qui l'entoure.
Le temple Kiyomizu est le temple le plus grand et le plus célèbre du Japon et a été inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Autour de Kiyomizu-dera, le quartier de Higashiyama est un trésor de la culture traditionnelle japonaise. Des ruelles étroites bordées de maisons machiya traditionnelles, de boutiques pittoresques et d'ateliers d'artisans offrent un avant-goût authentique du vieux Kyoto. Les rues historiques en pente de Ninenzaka et Sannenzaka sont particulièrement charmantes et offrent des opportunités d'exploration et de découverte. Fushimi Inari Taisha est un sanctuaire shinto sacré réputé pour ses portes torii emblématiques et sa profonde signification spirituelle. Fushimi Inari Taisha, l'un des sanctuaires les plus visités du Japon, offre une expérience unique et enchanteresse qui captive les visiteurs du monde entier. Le sanctuaire se caractérise par ses portes torii vermillon vif qui créent un sentier fascinant à travers les pentes boisées du mont Inari. Ce sentier symbolique, connu sous le nom de Senbon Torii, entraîne les visiteurs dans un voyage spirituel, représentant un passage entre le monde physique et le divin.

Our guide Fuji was fantastic. He took us to the places we requested and also took us to a nice family restaurant frequented by the locals which we enjoyed. He was considerate of mobility issues. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We like history and he provided a lot of background about each of our stops and also general Japanese history and culture. Our driver also did a great job. It was our first time having a driver and guide and it was awesome.

We had a great experience in Kyoto with our driver, Matsu. Matsu took us to Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kinkakuji, and the bamboo grove. Our time at each site was independent, and we could tailor each visit to as much or little time as we needed. There is a short walk from the main streets to Kiyomizu-dera Temple with numerous shops for food and souvenirs. The temples/shrines were all quite busy but certainly worth visiting.

Fantastic trip. Our driver was amazing, we really enjoyed the sites. The tour was organised in a way we really enjoyed and it was very flexible to our needs so we could spend longer in one place and less time in another. The driver always recommended times and places to meet up.
