Really great tour and our guide, LJ, was absolutely the best guide we have had. He was very well spoken and his knowledge of each stop was impressive.
It is so worth it to wake up early to do this trip. You beat all the crowds and are finished seeing so much all by lunchtime. Yuna was our guide and she was so kind, knowledgeable, and sincere. She was a joy to be with for the morning and truly was the highlight of the tour!
Maya did a brilliant job showing us the sights and explaining the history. We understand so much more about the culture I wish we had done an organised tour earlier. She went above and beyond, giving us tips for restaurants and other interests. Would definitely recommend the tour and Maya!
Koichiro gave us a great tour of Kyoto’s must see places. He spoke great English and was engaging from the teens to adults in our party. Highly recommend this tour especially if you have limited time.
We had a great tour with Aki - she was very knowledgable about the sites visited. Plus she was wonderful to talk about other things besides tour related items, life in Japan, schooling, etc.
Ryan was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and knew the best spots to take pictures. He was a very relaxed guide and let us spend as much time as we wanted at the individual sites. I knew for my family we would need a tour to accomplish seeing the top 3 Kyoto sites in a timely fashion and this tour delivered.
We had a wonderful tour today in Kyoto. Our guide, Koichiro, was an excellent guide. He gave us helpful background information of each of the three sights, especially since some signs and information were in Japanese only. Instructions were sent via WhatsApp and the meeting point was clearly communicated. We appreciated that he took the time to get to know us while we were traveling to each place. He was committed to making our tour informative, relaxed and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour and Koichiro as a guide, especially if you have only a limited time and want an efficient and informative experience. Thank you very much!
Our tour guide - Hina - was a well-spoken, knowledgeable, and personable Kyoto local. She was able to answer many of our group’s questions regarding Shintoism, Buddhism, and other Japanese related topics. She offered many times throughout the tour to take pictures of the various groups in our tour which are lovely memories of our time in Japan. The early morning aspect of the tour was crucial. When we got to the first two sites (Inari Shrine and Bamboo Forest), they were relatively uncrowded. As we left them, the crowds were coming. Additionally, our tour group was small (6 in total), so it was more intimate than other tour groups I saw around Japan. We got to chat with our fellow tourists and enjoy each other’s company. Arigatogozaimasu, Hina-san!
The best thing about our tour was our guide LJ! The day before he reached out to us, gave us very clear instructions, coordinated the whole effort very well. He was quite accommodating, friendly and connected well with the whole group. The whole tour was quite a walk but he made it enjoyable and informative. Keep up the amazing work, LJ!
We had an amazing time on our tour with Sakura. She made the trip a lot of fun, learned a lot about Japanese culture, history, and always stopped to take great photos for us. I highly recommend booking this tour. Having a great guide makes all the difference and we were lucky enough to have Sakura who made this one of the best tours we did on our entire trip.
