Gordon was amazing! His stories and wealth of information was top notch! He kept us entertained the whole time. The tour was the highlight of our time in Scotland! Highly recommend!
We were visiting from America (FL) and Gordon was incredible! He was so funny and entertaining, but most importantly to us he was full of education and tribal knowledge. He shares stories and customs that were passed down from Scot to Scot over generations. Another great thing is that we never felt rushed at all. He let us go at our own pace and we really enjoyed a full day trip from Inverness to Isle of Skye and stopping at lots of places along the way. A little tug of his complimentary whiskey made for a fun ride too. The kids had a great time. The fairy pools were awesome and we couldn’t have had better weather all day long in March.
This was an absolutely fantastic tour! Gordon is a wonderful tour guide! He gave us detailed information about the Scottish Highlands and made numerous special stops including time with the Highland Coos and Fairy Glen. His knowledge and enthusiasm made this tour truly special. Highly recommend.
Gordon was so funny and knowledgeable and a great story teller! We had a really fun and full day of adventure on our way to and all through Isle of Skye. Best decision I made in Scotland was booking this tour! Amazing day. I was traveling with a 10 year old and this is also really perfect for children. Lots of stops for great food and sight seeing and animals
Gordon - a true gentleman, soldier, highlander, and an outstanding shennachie storyteller! Thank you Viator, and Gordon for a most wonderful tour covering the highlands with memorable storytelling, and magical sights! The weather was rainy but Gordon helped us get a lot in, and we covered Lochness, Fairy Distillery, Hairy Coos, beautiful landscapes, pretty villages, and the awe-inspiring fairy-pools et al. Gordon had us all ears, including the kids who were fascinated. It was a memorable trip, and we will certainly be back to make more memories, hear more stories from Gordon, and share some whisky from his magical wizard whisky bottle! Anshula & Jason
Many thanks Anshula, it was my pleasure to take you family round my wonderful land.
Truly memorable visit to Isle of Skye. Gordon is a unique character who gave us a unique trip from Inverness. He’s a story teller in the old tradition who attracts attention wherever he goes.
We can’t say enough good things about Gordon! He’s a great tour guide, phenomenal story teller, and all around good guy to get to know! He made sure we could see as much as we could fit into our day, but also let us spend as much time in the different places as we wanted. Not if, but when we come back to the Scottish Highlands we will be booking with him again!
My daughter and I had a great day with Gordon. The sights were beautiful and Gordon was knowledgeable and a great story teller. It was definitely nice to have someone navigate the roads for you, especially the road to the fairy pools. It was also fun to stop at some of the local shops and loved feeding the coos! Would definitely recommend this tour!
This was one of the best things on our 10 day itinerary through Scotland and England. Gordon was a great guide! He had a lot of knowledge and good stories to keep us entertained for a journey with the cows, castles, and fairy pools. We also stopped for some good breakfast, coffee, and pastries along the way. Highly recommend. I would definitely do it again!
Got to feed some hairy coos!!! Saw some places from a distance to take pics. Skye was wonderful and the fairy pools were awesome! Beautiful scenery. Loved that Gordon knew locals and took us places that only locals would know.
