This tour is definitely worth the money!! Robinson and Sandy were amazing tour guides. Me and my family really enjoyed it to the fullest. Robinson is hilarious and such a nice guy. I would for sure recommend this to anyone who is going to DR. Full of culture and history. Had a great time! Gracias Robinson. Still has me laughing. No blah blah blah no Mickey Mouse. If you know, you know!!
Francisco our driver was very nice! As he gave the tour he explained where we are and the history of it! I highly recommend this tour and Francisco
Francisco was a great tour guide. He communicated immediately after I booked, which was the night before, to give me a pickup time for my hotel. He's very friendly. Also, I liked that it was a small group. All the places we went from a short horseback ride, Bascillica, Issa farm, walk through (very fast) of a local market, the creek at our lunch spot, cigar factory and Macao beach were all great experiences for the time we had. So much to cover during the time but not leaving feeling the day was too long. I'd 110% choose this tour over again!
Francisco was an excellent tour guide! We explored local markets, a countryside coffee and chocolate farm, and so much more. Exceeded our expectations! If you are looking to learn about local culture in DR, then this is it!
From start to finish, Amazing experience. This was my first solo travel ever and my first trip to DR. I was a bit scared but from pickup to drop off Robinson and Sandy made this unforgettable. They were both very respectful, making sure that we all had a great experience. They also made sure that we were all safe when having to walk from market to market and even got additional security for us to feel safe. They provided drinks out of their own dime. The vehicle was also very clean and comfortable at all times. I did not worry about leaving my belongings there during stops. From the horse back ride at Rancho Papito, to the lunch on the mountain overlooking a river, to the most beautiful beach in Macao. There was so much and I took so many pictures. I booked 2 tours for this trip and both were great but this one superseded my expectations. It was a small intimate group and peaceful and for the price I would definitively recommend to use JHORAJITOUR Excursion. I will definitely book them again when in DR.
Despite the rough start, this ended up being a really good tour. The only negative was that our pickup was about an hour late, which was frustrating. Once we were finally picked up, though, everything went smoothly. The horseback riding was fun, although I wish it had been a little longer because the ride went by pretty quickly. I was able to get some great pictures on the horse, and the staff there were very friendly. Next, we visited the Basilica, which was absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed that stop and appreciated getting to see such a historic place. The cigar-making demonstration was another highlight. I don’t smoke, so I didn’t make one myself, but my partner did and really enjoyed learning about the process. It was interesting to watch and learn about the craftsmanship that goes into making cigars. We also learned about how Dominican chocolate and coffee are made, which I really enjoyed. They even let us sample different chocolates and Mamajuana, which was a fun part of the experience. We visited a local market where we got to see fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and other products sold by the locals. It was nice getting a glimpse into everyday life and seeing the children playing around the area. We also stopped at a few souvenir shops where I found some really nice gifts to bring home. The beach was beautiful, but we only had enough time for a quick dip. I do wish we could have stayed a little longer. If I could change one thing about the itinerary, I think the beach would make a better second stop so everyone has more energy to enjoy it. My favorite part of the day was definitely lunch. The food was amazing—10/10! The restaurant overlooked a peaceful body of water, and spending a few minutes there was one of the most relaxing parts of the day. Our group size was also perfect—not too big and not too small—which made the experience feel more personal. The price was absolutely worth it. We got a lot more than I expected for what we paid, and I definitely felt like it was a great value. Just make sure you bring cash to tip the staff because they work hard to make the experience enjoyable. Lastly, our tour guide, Sandy, was awesome! He was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and made sure everyone had a good time throughout the day. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour. Aside from the late pickup, everything else exceeded my expectations. It was a great way to experience different parts of the Dominican Republic in just half a day, and I would absolutely book it again. 4 out of 5 stars!
Tito and Teo were amazing!! They are quite knowledgeable about the area. This is a great way to see life outside of the resort. We enjoyed!!
This tour was amazing! Sandy and Robinson truly made the experience fun and enjoyable. We visited so many places and got to experience everything the city had to offer. They were also very safe and professional drivers, which made the trip even more comfortable. And the lunch was also amazing. The only downside was that the tour lasted much longer than the advertised five hours. There weren't any time limits at each stop, so the schedule ran well over the expected duration. They also were late picking us up which could be the reason they let us go over! Aside from that, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this tour.
Had an amazing time with Robinson and Sunny!!! My daughters and I had a great time friendly and informative!!
I would recommend this tour for anyone who is curious about what the DR looks like outside of the resort. My only complaint is that every stop was about 30 minutes long, and I wished at some places (like Macao beach), we were there for longer. Our tour guide was phenomenal!
