Premier arrêt, première cave - Ici, nous en apprendrons plus sur les vins de Rioja et le processus de vinification et bien sûr dégusterons leur vin avec de l'huile d'olive et du fromage locaux (La Cave peut changer selon les jours et les disponibilités)
Deuxième arrêt, deuxième cave - ici, nous nous promènerons dans la cave pour voir comment le travail fonctionne, puis nous nous rendrons dans la zone de dégustation et essayerons leur intéressante sélection de vins. (La Cave peut changer selon les jours et les disponibilités)

Mateo as a great host and we had a great time. It did take a couple of hours from San Sebastien to get to Haro area. Great winery visits.
Matteo, was great. He took us to two wineries, Luis Cañas and Gomez Cruzado where the people were enthusiastic and very knowledgeable of their wineries and wines. We got plenty to taste. He then took us for a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to San Sebastián. He was prompt and a very good conversationalist knowledgeable of the area. Our groups consensus was to return to La Rioja and hopefully getting Matteo to be our guide.

We had a private group of 6 for our La Rioja tour. Matteo was our guide and he made our visit very special. We visited Luis Cañas and Gomez Cruzado wineries where the people were very pleasant and gave great historical explanations of their respective wineries and tasted plenty of wine. Our group's consensus was that we are returning and hoe to get Matteo as a guide again.

We had a wonderful day touring Rioja with Matteo which included visits to three wineries and a delicious lunch. Matteo was friendly, punctual and knowledgeable. The wineries we visited had a variety of styles both in their architecture as well as their wines and each one was extremely enjoyable.

We had a beautiful day in Rioja. Mateo was a terrific guide whose knowledge of wine is shown the wineries we visited. The tastings were high end premium wines. The lunch was very tasty and at a restaurant that had locally grown and sourced ingredients. We had a wonderful day!

We wanted to visit the Rioja wine region whilst staying in San Sebastian. The easiset and best option for us was a tour that included private transportation. So well worth it! Mateo picked us up on time right outside of our hotel. We started at a family owned winery and had a tour of the facility with a thorough explanation of their operation and wine making process. The next winery we spent about an hour and tasted very limited production wines as well as their privately made olive oil. Each of these wineries provided us light meat and cheese snacks. In between the second and third wineries, Mateo took us to a small town known as Laguardia with picturesque views. Mateo was very informative with history of not only the towns we drove through but also the wine of Rioja. The third and final winery provided us with an excellent and very filling Rioja lunch (be sure to not fill up on said previous snacks ...lunch was large but amazing). Mateo was an excellent driver and tour guide and we are very pleased we chose this tour for the afternoon!

Fantastic, no-stress day led by Mateo. We learned so much from him about the Basque Country on the ride. The first two wineries showcased different types of wine from the region, and the third winery had a delicious lunch with very generous portions! Highly recommend Mateo and this tour.
