La réputation de Saint-Sébastien en tant que meilleure ville gastronomique du monde est tout à fait méritée. Au cours de cette visite gastronomique et œnologique à pied, nous vous expliquerons pourquoi. En trois heures, vous découvrirez la véritable cuisine basque à travers deux quartiers emblématiques : le quartier branché du Gros et la vieille ville historique, berceau de la culture des pintxos. Votre guide local vous fera découvrir aussi bien des bars familiaux que des restaurants de renommée mondiale, chacun proposant des saveurs qui racontent l'histoire du patrimoine culinaire basque. Du spritz Mosto parfaitement équilibré à la douce touche finale apportée par la pantxineta traditionnelle, chaque bouchée vous plonge au cœur de plusieurs siècles de tradition. Vous découvrirez l'ambiance d'une sagardotegi (cidrerie), vous apprendrez l'art du txikiteo et vous comprendrez comment les habitants de la région ont su perfectionner ces saveurs bien avant que le monde ne s'y intéresse.

Située à Gros, cette place animée vous donnera un premier aperçu de la vie quotidienne à Saint-Sébastien. Avec l'église San Ignacio, les bars et les boutiques en toile de fond, les familles se retrouvent ici, à deux pas de notre premier arrêt dégustation tout proche.
Entrez dans un bar familial et chaleureux, dédié aux saveurs traditionnelles du Pays basque. Savourez leur pintxo signature : des champignons grillés accompagnés de foie gras onctueux et d'aïoli crémeux sur du pain croustillant, le tout parfaitement accompagné d'un zurito rafraîchissant, la petite bière pression préférée des habitants.
Découvrez une charmante cave à vin de quartier au cœur du Gros, réputée pour ses vins et bières bio locaux. Venez y déguster un rafraîchissant spritzer au moût sans alcool, composer votre propre Gilda et goûter le Gazta Zaharra, un fromage de berger acidulé fabriqué à partir de restes de fromage Idiazabal.
Entre l'hôtel Maria Cristina et le théâtre Victoria Eugenia, découvrez l'héritage de la Belle Époque de Saint-Sébastien. À proximité, vous pourrez admirer le Kursaal et le pont de Zurriola, qui relient le quartier du Gros au centre-ville, avec une vue sur le fleuve et les surfeurs qui partent à la rencontre des vagues.
Cette véritable institution de Saint-Sébastien a été fondée par quatre frères et sœurs dans le but de créer un bar de quartier axé sur la qualité, un service chaleureux et l'esprit communautaire. La place La Bretxa, qui tire son nom d'une brèche ouverte par les troupes de Napoléon lors du siège du XIXe siècle, est aujourd'hui un lieu animé où les habitants viennent acheter du poisson frais, de la viande et des produits du terroir, offrant ainsi un aperçu vivant de la vie quotidienne basque en plein cœur de la ville.
Situé dans l'emblématique rue 31 de Agosto, l'une des plus anciennes rues de Saint-Sébastien, cet arrêt vous emmène dans un bar très apprécié des habitants, qui semble ouvrir une fenêtre sur le passé de la ville. Bernardo, son propriétaire âgé de 70 ans, accueille les visiteurs avec un sourire chaleureux et un attachement de longue date à la cuisine basque. Vous pourrez y déguster une dégustation spéciale hors menu composée de tendres calamars grillés accompagnés d'un pintxo aux pommes de terre, le tout magnifiquement accompagné d'un verre de Txakoli, un vin blanc sec de la côte basque.
Préparez-vous à vivre une expérience authentique dans une cidrerie basque de la vieille ville. Vous dégusterez une succulente txuleta accompagnée de piments de Padrón salés et vous boirez du cidre servi directement au fût selon le rituel traditionnel du txotx !
Pour terminer en beauté, nous nous rendrons dans la plus ancienne pâtisserie de la ville, ouverte depuis 1886. Vous y dégusterez la recette originale de l'emblématique pantxineta : une pâte feuilletée croustillante fourrée d'une onctueuse crème pâtissière et d'amandes grillées. Vous l'emporterez pour le déguster sur le boulevard, une façon idéale de terminer votre visite.

Incredibly cool food tour of 3 different neighbourhoods in San Sebastian. Kristina our guide was lovely. A resident of 20 years. She showed us a real mix of spots...pinxos, but also different scenes like cider houses and other cool bars. Great knowledge of the history and culture as well. And very relaxed vibe overall. The value for money is amazing. 6 tapas + 6 drinks included along with the tour. And she also gives you a full list of other spots to hit up. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing experience w Ines on a walking food tour of San Sebastián. She was pleasant , were knowledgeable and made the experience wonderful . The best way to see, eat and experience San Sebastián! Ines was a fantastic guide and took us to a great mix of tabernas and outlets across the old and newer parts of town. She was conscientious of food preferences, very accommodating to my (never on time) family, and gave us a memorable experience from start to finish. Brilliant experience and a wonderful opportunity to try the lesser known taberna and menu items, as well as hear about local customs, and history. Highly highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time with Iri on the Beyond Pintxos tour of San Sebastian! Iri is fun, personable, full of positive energy, and really loves this region. We learned so much beyond just the food. The tour started outside of the Old Town and gave us a taste of some very local places. There was a good variety of food and alcoholic drinks and we were all full at the end of tour. And each of the stops were unique with a different vibe. Highlight was grilled squid with Txakoli, one of the best we ever had. We ended at a classic pastry shop whcih was perfect. Highly recommend this tour.
