Description

A beautiful experience with a terrific guide, Alana. The one thing I’d recommend is posting the additional, optional fees so you could prepare cash to bring (there are additional fees for using a credit card). They sell rash guards if you forgot to bring one (you should bring one because sunblock is bad for the wildlife) for $25 USD cash. They also have a photographer who captures most of your trip and then compiles the photos into a folder later for purchase. It was $60 USD cash. At the end of the cenote portion you go to a set of shacks that sell souvenirs and snacks (prices vary). That said, I truly recommend this guide and trip. My wife and I brought our 5 yo. Also, bring snacks for your little ones. Although they provided a banana and plenty of water, our boy definitely got peckish. Luckily after the cenote and before the shacks is a little restaurant with empanadas or tacos included depending on which trip/guide service you use.
We truly appreciate such a detailed review, we are happy that you and your child had a great time at the snorkel and at the cenote Thank you for the sugestions! We'll keep improving so we can welcome you again on your next adventure!
It was a very nice morning trip, first we got to see turtles and after that we went to a cenote, it was incredibly beautiful and cool. Our guide (T) was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and made sure everyone had a good time throughout the trip, he taught us lots about the turtles and the cenons! Highly recommend this tour.
Vi uppskattar att du delar detta äventyr med oss, Akumal är en magisk plats full av marint liv och vackra landskap. Vi hoppas att se dig igen för ditt nästa äventyr i Mexiko.
What an excellent activity! We snorkeled and saw sting ray and sea turtles! Then we went swimming in a cenote - super cool! Reuben our guide was so knowledgeable and funny and made the activities even better! Highly recommend!
Akumal is home to an abundant marine life, we are happy that you got the chance to enjoyed it For Ruben it's important that all our travelers can take home memories and new information about the place they visit We'll keep improving for your next adventure, Mexico and the Riviera Maya have plenty more to offer!
Best memory was the cenotes. Very interesting and informative. Ban should’ve been larger for all passengers. More air conditioning was needed in the van.
Thank you for sharing this adventure with us! There is still plenty more to explore at the Riviera Maya, we hope to see you again soon
Lovely day. Would recommend this trip. Saw turtles and a sting ray. The cenote was fantastic. Guide was knowledgeable and whole group were friendly.
Akumal is an amazing place, the marine life is abundant and the sights are beautiful We are glad that you enjoyed the experience with us, we hope to see you again soon for your next adventure
The experience was a great opportunity, however, the guide was not best suited for families. After repeated requests for my son to have better fitting snorkel gear, I was ignored. In the water, it was as if it was beneath her to support my son. My son can swim and has his head under water comfortably at home. In turn, I had to tend to my son and his improperly fitting gear the entire swim. This resulted in myself not having a great experience. Others had a wonderful experience and the guide was more interested in the ones having fun that the two of us. In the water I repeatedly requested assistance and it was inconvenient for her. At one point she quickly tried to adjust his gear without paying attention and hurt him in the process resulting in tears. This was a chance of a lifetime for my son and myself dampened by a poorly manages guide. I have snorkeled before and never experiences this lack of professionalism in a guide. And at the end she was offended by not receiving a tip. I also placed a complaint upon return and still no response by provider.
The snorkel equipment provided was suited for children, there was no problem with it. You demanded that your son had it "extra adjusted" even when your own child told you that it hurt him You created your own problem even when your child himself told you that everything was fine We are not responsable for the parenting of our customers, we receive families and they don't have any problems with the snorkel activity
Very nice trip and safe with Oto and Moise. They made sure all the people were able to keep up Snorkels and life vest in great condition
The safety and satisfaction of our clients always comes first. We are very happy that you enjoyed your tour and hope to see you back in Cancun soon.
