En quittant le port, nous atteindrons la charmante ville de Savoca. Savoca n’est pas une ville touristique, c’est une simple ville "locale" de tous les jours située sur la colline des collines de S. Peloritiani. C'est là qu'Al Pacino et Cast ont tourné le film GodFather. Suivre leurs traces et visiter les lieux souvent montrés dans le film rapportera de nombreux souvenirs. En ville, "un must" est l’arrêt pour une Granita au citron au célèbre bar "VITELLI" situé au coin de la ville, l’un des endroits préférés de Coppola, et qui a été vu à plusieurs reprises tout au long du film. De Savoca, nous visiterons Forza d'Agrò, qui est sans aucun doute l'un des meilleurs exemples d'un village typique de la province de Messine, qui conserve encore son tracé de rues médiévales et qui offre des vues incroyables sur tous les côtés de la ville. Ici nous avons la tradition, la culture, l’histoire et l’art qui vous attendent. Après cela, vous visiterez Taormina.

Nous pouvons vous suggérer un bon endroit pour vous permettre de manger quelque chose. Vous aurez le temps de visiter le théâtre grec et les principaux sites touristiques de Taormine.

We spent a week in Taormina, we hired Carmelo Egitto from Sicily Tours as our tour guide for the week. We have used Sicily Tours in the past, and Carmelo never disappoints. He is very knowledgeable, informative and proud of his homeland. He has good recommendations for tours and restaurants & is prompt upon pick up, and delivery of passengers to and from airport’s, and cruise port’s Anyone who has the pleasure of having him for their driver will be very Lucky. Carmello was an incredible guide. Communication pre tour was excellent- responded immediately. He arrived before our scheduled meeting time and explained the intinerary. It was a private tour in a comfortable Mercedes Benz minibus with a driver! The driver was so professional, competent, and attentive that he was like a guide to Sicily who knows all of Sicily. The tours were in Taormina, Messina, Etna, Palermo, Catania, Siracusa, Isola di Ortigia, Monreale, Cefalù. Thanks to the travel company Sicily Tours, I spent an unforgettable vacation in beautiful Sicily!!!
We did this tour before and exjoyed it so much did it again. The first time was a morning tour and the second tour was in the afternoon. Once we arrived at the locations we did our own thing as we only wanted the transport to get there the second time
Carmelo and his team provided outstanding service for my wife and I during our recent trip to Sicily. We used their service to take us from Diamante to Taormina (including the ferry), from Taormina to Canicatti and back the next day and finally a personalized afternoon trip to Savoca from Taormina. All the drivers were very prompt and professional. Carmelo himself was very responsive in arranging all the trips and taking us personally to Savoca. I am fairly sure they also offer multi day private tours on the mainland and Sicily, as one of their drivers was completing a private tour in Puglia. I would absolutely use their service again without hesitation.
Carmelo, our driver, tour guide and translator during our entire 8-day visit to Sicily, was incredible! He truly made our trip as special, enjoyable, stress-free and memorable as I could imagine. His knowledge of Sicily, driving skill, impeccable English and Italian, and professionalism are top-notch. The Godfather and Taormina tour was just one of a many awesome experiences that Carmelo made special for our small group - which included my elderly mother, who he treated with kindness and respect. Carmelo was a charming, cool and very pleasant guide to all our destinations. He was able to guide us through all of Sicily, not just the west, leading us from Catania, to Siracusa, Palermo and many other places: you name it, he knows it! Not only does he have an intimate knowledge of the island‘s history and geography, he also knows all the good spots to sleep, eat or go to the beach.
