Saipan en un jour - Pèlerinage de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et visite d'Amelia Earhart

Description

My mother and I had the chance to have Walt show us around Saipan Island (December 2025 after Christmas). This was not the first time for both my mother and I but due to Walt's in-depth knowledge, we learned so much more about the history of Saipan. In fact, managed to see more of Saipan I never got to see in the southern and eastern coast of the island. I HIGHLY recommend!! Will go back to Saipan again. My mother is elderly (89 years old). Loved how Walt took very good care of her the whole time.
Top to bottom coverage that allowed us to learn intricate detail about the history and culture of the island’s evolution.
Walt led us on a full tour of the island. We learned both WW2 history, culture, and recent history. It was amazing! We saw and experienced the island in a way we would not have been able to without him.
This was one of the best yours ever. Walt is SN excellent guide and he tells his stories with warmth and humor. With him you got to go all the places on the island and meet interesting people, in our cause, Chamorro carvers, bakery owner, and a local senator, and others. Highly recommended. The price of the tour is a bit high particularly since it is per Person. Worth every penny though.
Yep, all the stars were in alignment to give you a great tour: the Seafaring Project director, the third-generation General Manager of Saipan's historic bakery and first post-war business established on the island, the Senator (and Senate Vice President) from Rota were all in the right place at the right time! And speaking of great outcomes: I'm glad you thought the tour worth the cost. However, due to an oversight and a misplaced figure in the pre-programmed calculation, you were, in fact, charged more than you should have been (the price you saw should NOT have been assessed "per person"). Therefore, I've had the Viator team issue a refund of the overpayment which should be rectified and posted to your account by now! Happy traveling!
If you want the absolute best, in-depth, historical and cultural tour of Saipan and Tinian, look no further than Walt Goodridge. Walt is there for his customer…period. As a citizen of Saipan, he knows the islands, all the important stops, and several hidden gems that only his clients willsee. In addition, Walt is just a really nice person, intelligent, and interesting with a personal history that few of us could match. You cannot go wrong with Walt, the Jamaican of Saipan.
Cannot recommend Walt enough. He made our day in Saipan incredible and so much more than we expected. We talked with locals of both indigenous tribes and got so many interesting stories. Thanks Walt. We will use you next time we are here.
Cool! Great meeting you! Thanks for finding me and enjoy the rest of the cruise! Yes, a short, shore excursion is not enough time to fully experience the history and the mystery!
I highly recommend taking a tour with Walt. Walt provided an indepth tour that was detailed, interesting, thoughtful and fun. Walt has put his heart and mind into providing a really special experience. We visited so many sites on Saipan as well as meeting some cultural representatives of the island on our all day tour. Afterwards he also provided us photos and a timeline of what we experienced on our tour. I don't think we have ever had a guide put as much effort into a tour, as Walt does. Saipan is a beautiful place, with so much history and culture. We can't wait to visit again and spend another day with Walt.
It was great meeting you, too! Your group was really easy-going and fun to be with. In case you didn't see the VIDEO recap, here it is on Youtube: https://youtu.be/qr7ILgmRnco
I can't say enough about Walt and his team. They were fabulous. Informed, informative and fun. He had so many contacts in the local community, we felt like we got a VIP tour. We saw WWII sites, native sites and natural beauty. All of us were very pleased with our day. I would strongly recommend you contact Walt if you are coming to the island!
Even though we pushed our pace to include as many sites as possible, we could still fill another day's itinerary (When you return!) Thanks for joining in the adventure. In case you didn't see the VIDEO recap, here it is on Youtube: https://youtu.be/qr7ILgmRnco
I had the pleasure of taking a solo tour around Saipan with Walt in October 2023. It was quite an adventure as a typhoon was blowing in, but Walt did a fantastic job getting us around even in bad weather and showing the amazing sights around the island. I would highly recommend taking this tour in conjunction with the Tinian tour that Walt also provides. There is a little bit of everything in these tours, from fantastic landscapes, to interesting historical sites from WWII back to thousands of years ago, to the fascinating cultural information that Walt imparts. He is very easy going and accommodating throughout the trip. Thanks Walt for a fantastic time!
What a fabulous day!! Walt arranged a guide with "D" and what a great day! We seen so many WWII sites and see the private museum of all the WWII items, WOW!! Thank you Walt for arranging this, a great day.
I'm glad it worked out! Sorry I wasn't there to experience and share in the discovery with you! Thanks, and travel well!
