We were able to set the start time for our tour & when we met Jess, she was able to customise what we wanted to see & do. Jess contacted us the night before to confirm our tour/time/meeting point & that morning, she gave us more specifics & was on time. Jess’ English was impeccable! She had so much knowledge & was able to give us a personal touch. What was included was just enough to get a Dutch experience including riding the metro & trams, sampling Dutch fries, going through the cube apts, walking through the old port, seeing various architectures building etc. We couldn’t have asked for more. What a treat it was!
Thank you so much for your amazing 5star review! We're so happy to hear that you had such a great time exploring Rotterdam with Jess. Her day is made to know that her knowledge, enthusiasm, and personal approach made your experience so memorable. It’s fantastic that you enjoyed the flexibility of the private tour and experienced so many highlights—from traveling like a local on the metro and trams to tasting Dutch fries, visiting the Cube Houses, strolling through the Old Harbour, and discovering Rotterdam's unique architecture. Thank you again for choosing TourGuys and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back to Rotterdam again someday! Truly, Team TourGuys
We enjoyed this walking tour with Jess as she gave us a good amount of Rotterdam history. She met us at the port and also brought us back with a few train rides and a good deal of walking along the way. We made a stop for coffee/latte, however there was no lunch or street food as advertised when we booked. The tour took about 4 hours.
Thank you for your review, Andy! We're grateful to hear you enjoyed exploring Rotterdam with Jessica and that you appreciated her knowledge of the city's history. It's great to know the pickup from the port and the combination of walking and public transport made for an enjoyable experience. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the food stop. We apologize that this didn't match your expectations. We'll review this with our team to ensure our tour description and the experience are fully aligned going forward. Thank you again for choosing TourGuys, and we hope to welcome you back to Rotterdam in the future!
the tour guide arrived over 15 min late and told us he lost his bag on the subway with his wallet, keys, and tickets. He could not take us on the tour. He left and came back 1/2 hr later saying that he accepted his fate and could start the tour but would extend 1 hr later than planned. We were very disappointed and did not get the tour. we called viator to ask for our money back. the local tour company did not answer their phone- we had hoped that they could send a replacement .
Dear Nancy, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry that your day started this way and completely understand your disappointment. This was an extremely rare and unforeseen situation. Our guide unfortunately lost his bag on the metro while traveling to the meeting point. Despite the stress of losing his wallet, keys, and personal belongings, he came to meet your group, explained the situation transparently, and asked whether a short delay would be acceptable while he contacted the public transport company's Lost & Found service. After returning within the agreed timeframe, he was fully prepared to conduct your private tour and even offered to extend it by an additional hour so you would still receive the complete experience. Unfortunately, by then your group had decided not to continue. We also apologize that you were unable to reach us by phone. We missed Viator's call and immediately tried calling back, but were unable to get through the automated phone system. While we regret that this exceptional circumstance affected your visit, we appreciate your feedback and wish you a wonderful remainder of your travels. Kind regards, The TourGuys Team

Our guide was very knowledgeable, took plenty of time to answer any questions we had. He was also very friendly. This was our first trip to Rotterdam so it gave us a nice introduction to the city.

Jamal was worth a 5 star review for personality & knowledge. Really a great guide. Only reason for 4 star was that the tour was to include a street food lunch which we didn't get. There ended up being 8 of our friends that joined our group.
Hi Scott, Thank you for your review, feedback and for your kind words about Jamal. We're grateful to hear that you enjoyed his personality, knowledge, and guiding style. Jamal is passionate about Rotterdam and loves sharing the city's stories with visitors, so we're happy that made such a positive impression on your group. Regarding the street food lunch, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look into what happened on that day, as the inclusions should always match what is advertised and what guests expect when booking, which in this case actually is a local snack and not a lunch but I get your point. As for the group size, we're glad your friends were able to join and enjoy the experience together. One of the advantages of our tours is the flexibility to accommodate larger parties, allowing friends and family to explore Rotterdam as a group while still enjoying a personal experience. Thank you again for your feedback. Reviews like yours help us continue improving, and we hope to welcome you back to Rotterdam in the future. Truly, Izzy The TourGuys Team
Mo was our guide and he was incredible. We knew very little about the city and learned so much. The tour was perfect for us. We had an infant with us and the timing and Mo, our guide, was a perfect fit. The tour size gave us time and attention to ask questions and not feel rushed. Mo answered all of our questions and was personable, professional, and very knowledgeable. The communication leading up to the trip was great and would highly recommend it.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, John! We are so happy to hear that you had such a great day exploring Rotterdam with Mo. One of the things we value most at TourGuys is creating a personal experience where guests have the time and space to ask questions, connect with their guide, and discover the city at a comfortable pace. We're especially happy that the tour worked well for your family and your infant. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Mo — he'll be thrilled to hear it. Thank you as well for mentioning our communication and organization; our team works hard behind the scenes to make every tour run smoothly from start to finish. We hope to welcome you back to Rotterdam someday! Warm regards, The TourGuys Team

Jamaal was an excellent guide on this three + hour walking tour of Rotterdam. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt. We learned a great deal about the city, its history, people and culture. Two highlights that we especially enjoyed were the Cube houses and the Market Hall. I would highly recommend this trip, as well as Jamaal, if you would like to spend a few hours learning all about this historic and beautiful city!
Thank you so much for the kind review Sam! It’s great to hear you enjoyed the tour; Rotterdam really comes alive when explored with energy and stories. Jamal will be happy to hear about this amazing review! Hope to see you again for another adventure. Truly, TourGuys Team
