Description
Nous traverserons la zone de plantation de canne à sucre Tpc avec ses petites fermes et ses maisons. Vous passerez devant des écoles, des mosquées et des églises. Votre voyage vous mènera aux rizières voisines, où vous ferez une halte et si vous le souhaitez, pouvez donner un coup de main aux travailleurs sur le terrain. Par la suite, vous saurez mieux à quel point un sac de riz nécessite beaucoup de travail. Enrichis de cette expérience intense, nous rendons visite à une famille locale pour le déjeuner. Le riz est l’un des principaux composants des repas en Tanzanie et vous aurez la chance de le goûter chez eux lors d’un repas traditionnel appelé Pilau. Laissez-vous séduire par l'hospitalité de la famille locale pendant que vous êtes assis devant leur véranda et partagez un repas avec vous et partagez vos impressions sur la vie de tous les jours. Tout en carburant, vous continuez votre balade à vélo dans la forêt de Rau, une beauté naturelle située juste derrière la ville de Moshi. Faites attention aux singes colobes dans les cimes des arbres avec leurs longues queues moelleuses.

Notre dernier arrêt de la journée est à l’ancienne gare de chemin de fer, reste de l’époque coloniale allemande. Vous vous sentirez comme sur un plateau de cinéma des années 1900 et pourrez encore sentir l'énergie animée que ce lieu magique avait il y a environ cent ans. Avec un peu de chance, vous avez la meilleure vue sur le Kilimandjaro tout en sirotant une bière bien fraîche au Kilimanjaro au bar de la gare, qui retrace l’incroyable aventure du jour. Notre guide vous ramènera à votre hébergement, où vous pourrez vous dégourdir les jambes et les bras après une journée passée sur les routes accidentées de la Tanzanie.

Had a great trip through Rau forest. We were given good quality mountain bikes which made the trip a really great experience. The lunch provided was also excellent. Would highly recommend the trip if you have a day to spare in Moshi and want to see Moshi and Rau forest.
We had a great bike ride with George. Going by bike was a great opportunity to see the beautiful countryside of Moshi. George was very informed and told us a lot about Moshi. We had a great time and would recommend this tour!

Do you love biking and exploring new places? If so, you might want to check out Kili Bike Adventures, a company that offers bike tours in Moshi and Kili. I had a blast riding with them, and I saw so many things that I would have missed otherwise. I recommend them to anyone who wants to have a fun and adventurous day in Moshi. Roy, the owner, was professional and helpful. He arranged a bike ride that suited me and my transportation. He gave me all the details and made me feel comfortable and excited. George, my guide, was friendly and informative. He explained everything along the way, took hundreds of pictures, and showed me some of the local delicacies and fruits. The bike ride was amazing and rewarding. I rode through sugarcane plantations, rice fields, forests, villages, wildlife (Colobus monkeys, Blue monkeys, birds), and culture. I learned a lot and I enjoyed every moment. Roy and George were great hosts and gave me a t-shirt as a souvenir. I am grateful and I want to ride with them again.

We had the pleasure to do the tour bike with George. He was great and explaining everything about sugar and rice plantation, and Moshi people. We stop for lunch in Rau Forest and it was very nice. The view of green plantation around worth the ride. They have more tours exploring KiIi but we did not have so much time but I'm quite sure it's amazing. I higly recommend these guys. 👍

We went a whole day on a bike tour with Kili bike. It was great. We saw the beautiful forest, Moshi ,and the rice fields. We did the cycling tour, which is a loop of roughly 25 km that goes through the Rau forest and along the rice fields. Afterwards we were treated to a very nice lunch in the forest. Highly recommended

What an absolute unique experience with Kili Bike Adventures! We didn't really know what to expect when signing up for the tour and were rewarded with an incredible bike ride. It was like cycling through town with your local friend. From visiting a local inventor and his self made production side, helping out in a rice field to plant the rice seedlings to cycling through the mystic rau forest, the entire trip felt like an incredible adventure! Said is very easy going and really made us feel welcome. We had a super fun day with him and couldn't recommend his tour enough. He's very knowledgeable and the bikes were very high quality and super well maintained.
Very nice ride, good bikes, we were followed by a photographer on a motorcycle who took photos of us throughout the ride and who sent us all the photos by email afterwards, free of charge. Super nice!
We went on the Rau forest biking tour with George and had an incredible time. The bikes are top notch, no rust or broken parts as you normally find it on rent-a-bikes on holidays. Best part was to cycle through the villages and seeing rural tansanian every days life (rice fields, harvested sugar cane, people washing clothes in river etc). But of course Rau forest and the monkeys were also worth going there. Felt save and well taken care off all the time!
