Rafting en eau vive sur la rivière Naranjo supérieure (section Chorro, du 15 décembre au 15 mai)

Description

We had THE best time white water rafting with Mel and Joshua! They made every moment so special and memorable! Mel gave clear and easy to follow instructions on how to stay safe and effectively paddle. We always felt secure, but at the same time we felt so much adrenaline! Our guide Mel is an expert, born and raised near the river, his knowledge of the environment and the Naranjo river was exceptional. Mel spoke perfect English and Spanish as well. I highly highly recommend Costa Rica Tropical adventures! Pura vida!
Incredible experience with my wife and daughters ages 10-18! So fun
Great experience! Cost was great. Took us through a great amount of rapids. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. This was our first time rafting and was really fun and exciting. I didn’t really know what to expect, but this was really fun.
My son and I were on the Upper Navanjo River last week with Costa Rica Tropical Adventures. We found their customer service, equipment, safety protocols and planning were all outstanding for the river trip. The company goes the extra effort to select the most appropriate river sections for each trip based upon continuous river condition adjustments. The guides in our group were all very competent and provided an excellent experience. I definitely recommend their company with another person on the trip taking his 10th trip which is a testimonial by itself.
Wow!!! What an amazing experience. Me and my friend came from Canada on our first solo trip on a tight budget wanting to explore adventures surrounding Quepos and this activity was absolutely the best one we could have chosen. The staff are great and understanding, friendly but safety conscious. I completely recommend for anyone traveling out to Manual Antonio or Quepos during their vacation!
This was the best river rafting experience I’ve had! The guys that took us were amazing and made it so much fun! It’s a smaller company so you feel like your just hanging out!
My wife and I booked a white water rafting tour on the Naranjo River in Quepos during our honeymoon, and unfortunately, this ended up being a frightening and painful experience. We did the Chorro section of the Naranjo River, and during a section called the “Toilet Bowl,” our raft flipped. I hit the back of my head and neck extremely hard, and my head has been bleeding throughout the day. This happened on my birthday, during our honeymoon, and I will likely have to have stitches when I return to the states. This seriously impacted the rest of our vacation for the next few days (Mind you, I am a 6'3" athletic build, so I am quite durable). I wasn't able to get in the ocean for the remainder of our trip. My wife was also very shaken up by the raft flipping over and worried about me the remainder of our honeymoon. What concerns me even more is that we were not asked to sign a waiver, unlike other excursions we have done, which felt very sketchy in hindsight considering the risk level of this activity. I understand that white water rafting comes with danger, but guests should be fully informed, properly prepared, and the company should take every possible precaution to protect people. I also read how weight should be evenly distributed throughout the raft and our raft was very front heavy which makes steering difficult for the guide (also a contributing factor for us going through the "toilet bowl." I could have been seriously injured, or worse, from how hard I hit my head and neck. This experience could have had a much worse outcome, and I hope others think carefully before booking this tour. For anyone considering rafting this section of the Naranjo River, please understand the risks and make sure you are comfortable with the safety practices of the company you choose.
Damian and Mel made the rafting trip of a lifetime for my boyfriend! He was able to experience the most epic adventure with guides who felt like friends. So much so, we booked again and went twice!
The driver/guide picked us up at our airbnb and kept us entertained the whole drive to and from. The white water rafting was super fun! I was scared before we started but at the end it felt like it went by way too fast and I wanted to keep going for hours more. Even the though rapids and falls look crazy our guide had our raft in control the whole time. I was laughing and screaming the whole time.
With a family of 5 (kids 15-12-12) we went on a half day trip of El Chorro - IV rapids in April. We had just the right mix of thrill, fun, and nature experience!
