This bus tour was very informative and took in much more of QC than we thought possible in an hour. Some of the seats' speakers aren't as clear as others so don't be afraid to switch seats to get a clearer sound, the commentary is well worth listening to!
My family and I decided to tour the city in a different way. Usually, we would walk around and go to each site. However, we wanted to see the upper and lower parts. Taking the bus sounded fun. It was! We saw all the best sites in both areas, and did not have to tire ourselves out. Additionally, the guide provided a wealth of great history and information. We had such a great time. Sadly, it rained on and off. However, not in the best spots, and when we were dropped off at Upper Old Quebec, we could enjoy the area and have a great time slowly walking around and down.
Not able to choose 5 on my I phone, that is why I chose it 4. We loved our time in Quebec City. I would not recommend the bus tour, too much time, sitting in traffic, listening to elevator music on the headphones. I realize the traffic is not the fault of the bus operator, but I would’ve liked less elevator music and more information
Perfect way to start a visit to Québec. Comfortable, great narratives about the city. Excellent driver
Jacques Lemieux, our guide was great. Tons of info, was personable, real, human experience all the while educational and interesting. Thank you for the energy, especially your flexibility when we hit traffic, the extra info and guide love was perfect!
The Trip was quite enjoyable. After walking much of the day it was a welcomed break to sit and listen to witty and informative commentary on places in the city that we had not gotten to on foot.
Our tour and tour guide were wonderful, the tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. However the tour we signed up for was not the tour they took us on. We were seated on the double decker bus ready to go, but got a phone call from a staff member asking us if we got to our bus, and we said yes, the bus driver scanned it but the person on the phone told us to get off the bus and to get on a different one, so we did, but the bus they made us get on wasn’t a double decker bus. The bus driver on the double decker bus was friendly and said we should have had no issues so we weren’t sure why we were called to get off the bus to get on one we didn’t book. We were expecting the hour express tour but the one they put us one was 5 hours. We rolled with it, the tour guide was super nice and friendly and we got to see the water falls and a Catholic Church, one of which we were planning on coming to a different day, but it was convenient to have been able to visit that on tour. It was a fun time still with the unplanned adventure but we wished we could have had the chance to do the double decker tour like it was booked.
First time visiting Old Quebec City and we wanted to be sure not to miss any ironic areas. The double decker bus tour was a great experience, driver was excellent and the information provided during the tour was very informative. Offered in many languages as well which was great! When sitting up top you do have to be careful due to low lying branches which the driver does warn you about as well. Glad we spent the money for this tour!
I am a local and thought it could be a fun thing to do with my godson and girlfriend. As a local, I didn’t get much out of the tour, I found it was pretty short and expensive for what it is. But, the tour has an automated voice narration that you listen to with provided earbuds, so if you are a foreigner and would like to see the old city and listen to explanations in your own language, it won’t take a lot of your time and packs in the essential spots. If you don’t like to walk, that’s your best bet!
The information is received through ear buds and is canned, not a live person with a personality . Not lively, not interesting. Definitely would not do again.
