I had a great experience on this half-day tour to Montmorency Falls and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. It was pouring rain at the beginning of the day, but our guide did an excellent job adjusting the order of the stops and making the most of the weather. It was beautiful by the time we arrived at the church and later at the falls. The biggest issue was the pickup location. Another couple and I followed the Google Maps link provided with our tickets, but it brought us to the wrong location. We knew something did not seem right, but it took a while to reach someone by phone and learn that we were supposed to be around the corner at the main square. We genuinely thought we were going to miss the tour. The pickup instructions and map link should be reviewed and clarified for future guests. I especially appreciated that the tour included a visit to the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Visiting the basilica was the primary reason I came to Quebec City, and since I did not have a car, this tour was the easiest and most convenient way to get there. Our guide grew up in the area and was baptized at the church, and I really enjoyed hearing his personal stories along with his explanations of the basilica’s history and significance. Overall, this was an enjoyable and worthwhile tour with a knowledgeable guide. With clearer pickup instructions, it would have been an even better experience.
Francois was very knowledgeable and personable, imparting culture, history, and geography along the route. The scenery is beautiful. The chocolate shop and the copper shop we fine, but the Basilica and the Falls were extraordinary, and well worth the trip. We had plenty of time at each stop. We would recommend this tour
They have changed the timing in the last year, so there is more time at the falls. I thought each stop had perfect amount of time, and so glad we did this one- the copper art was something I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Ile was beautiful and the church stunning!! Patrick was a fabulous guide.
This is a coach bus with a bathroom, a must for my young kids. But the bathroom was locked the entire trip and when I finally brought it to the attn of the driver he said it was broke. I inquired why there was no sign on it indicating that and he simply shrugged. Plus with the long lines we could not do anything other than view the falls - not enough time for Zip Lines, Cable Car etc. Would not use this service again.
This trip was great until the very end when our bus broke down at the falls. A lot of other visitors got rides back to town because we had to wait on the guides to get ahold of the company (who were all watching the World Cup game) to figure out what to do. They ended up sending another bus but we all just had to sit on the hot broken down bus and wait. Otherwise, the trip really was good. The guide was knowledgeable and we went to a lot of cool places. I wish I’d had more time at the falls, I felt rushed to go up all the stairs. If I had had the time we had to wait around for another bus to explore, that would have been nice.
Was a last minute decision and happy my husband and I jumped on the idea of a bus tour! We enjoyed our day!! We just wish we had a little bit more time at the sites we visited… we didn’t have a chance to fully enjoy every location we stopped at. But overall would definitely recommend!! 😊
Martin, the driver and guide, was not only good at driving but also attentive and hospitable to the participants. I was thrilled when I walked by a strawberry patch on the way to the tour and they stopped the bus and bought their own strawberries and handed them out to the participants.
It was very pleasant and informative despite the rain; you learn a lot about the people who live in Quebec in addition to seeing the magnificent falls.
Martin was a great coach driver and tour guide. Great commentary and useful information and a great itinerary.
The tour should have provided more time at Montmorency Falls. We were given 75 minutes to visit and told that we wouldn’t have enough time to take the gondola ride up and down due to the long line ups. The tour should been scheduled to ensure this was available to us.
