This tour was the best food tour I've ever taken. The factory tour was interesting but the incredible part was the lunch & fun afterwards. The food was so good, festive music was playing , the hosts were fantastic!I can't recommend this tour enough ! If you take this tour from Bologna be prepared to pay $150-250 round trip for a taxi. I would suggest going straight to the vender bc they offer a tour that includes a Parmesan cheese tour earlier in the day that offers transportation.
Excellent tour, food and entertainment The staff are wonderful and lots of fun. Highly recommend this experience.
Barbara is a star in the kitchen! Everything she made was a tasty creation from the bread to the sauce. The prosciutteria tour was really informative and Alessandro proved to be an expert in every area of the process. He was also an exuberant DJ for the lunch. Laura, Michael, and myself learned so much, got acquainted with local dishes and wines, and had a wonderful afternoon! In fact, the next night we had Cullatello DOP and talked about you! Grazie mille!
The staff are amazing, crazy even, in the best way. I expected a simple tour with a simple lunch. What I got was much more than I could ever expect. We were dancing, laughing and having the time of our lives while tasting some of the best products I could ever imagine. Not only this, they surprised us with pasta and a wine tasting from the region that would have been a tour in itself. I hope with all my heart I am able to repay the team for their kindness one-day. Grazie mille a tutti. Until next time
An unforgettable experience! We experienced a very personal, family situation and were welcomed as warmly and kindly as if we were part of the family ourselves. The Mood exudes warmth and security, the atmosphere was simply beautiful – full of warmth, closeness and moments of well-being. Everything is just right here: you can feel the attention to detail and honest togetherness. A place you like to return to and which you heartily recommend!
Our food tour through Emilia Romana with Frederico, Roberta, and the whole Italian Days team was wonderful. We really loved seeing how so many Italian classic foods were made, felt like we truly learned so much, and the food and wine served at lunch was spectacular. The only thing we didn’t love was the 90 minute dance party after lunch. While it was fun, we wished we could have gotten back to Bologna instead of hanging around so much longer. I’m not sure if I could recommend a tour like this to my parents, because of the after party aspect, but the rest of it was fantastic and we really loved it.
Absolutely the best!!! We booked a tour of the prosciutteria + degustation and we were impressed with the quality of the tour and the great hospitality we received! We had an amazing time visiting the Prosciutteria. The tour was clear, informative, and really well done – you can tell how much care and passion goes into everything. The quality of the products was exceptional, and the whole team was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic from start to finish. The tasting afterwards was truly beyond expectations – generous portions of outstanding food and wine, served with warmth and genuine conversation. Everyone made us feel like part of the family. This was so much more than just a factory tour – it was a real experience of hospitality and tradition. Highly recommended!
This tour was amazing. Alessandro the tour guide was super energetic, engaging, funny, informative, and kept the tour moving along. The “tasting” afterwords consisted of about 10 different family style dishes to share- including multiple types of prosciutto, pork loin, guanciale, ham, etc. this was paired with local wine. Then they started to bring out different types of pasta- each with their own wine. The ladies who cooked and served everything were amazing- very lovely, personable, helpful, and kind. We had a quick dance party after all the pasta so we’d be ready for dessert. Everything was top notch and so much fun. We had an issue getting a taxi so one of the ladies drove us to the train station. They went above and beyond to make sure we got where we needed to be. So thank you so much for a great day ❤️❤️❤️
Everyone who works here brought the energy and the passion!! I cannot give the entire staff enough compliments. The knowledge behind the factory tour was wonderful but the real fun begins during the tasting. This is the BEST! way to experience local cuisine as the create wonderful, authentic local dishes and food paired with local wine. Highly recommend and a big thanks to everyone again!
This tour exceeded our expectations! The factory tour was fascinating. We learned about how prosciutto, guanciale, and pancetta are made, with love and time. And, we learned so much about how the products are classified and labeled for sale. But, the highlight of the tour was the lunch that followed. It was a delicious feast! We had an amazing antipasti spread to begin, including trying the meat products we had seen being produced, as well as a lovely salad, slow-cooked tomatoes, and warm bread. Next, there were three local pasta dishes. They were all tasty and the lasagna bolognese was especially delicious. The meal was followed by a tiramisu dessert and grappa. And, each course was paired with a different local wine. Wow! It was all so good. The tour and lunch were curated by Alessandro. He was very knowledgable and the tour had just the right amount of detail and humor. The chef and host, Erica, was also very nice and talented. Her cooking was so delicious and she made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. She even let our 13-year old son help her in the kitchen, and he was just thrilled. The location was good, with ample parking since it was outside of any urban area (as you would expect for a factory). The room where we ate was large and decorated with art, antiques, and so many other interesting things to look at. We were thoroughly thrilled with the whole experience and would highly recommend it.
