We highly recommend this tour! The entire family enjoyed it and we would do it again. If English is your primary language, I will say that we had to communicate through Google Translate a bit much. While English is our primary language my daughter has a good grasp of Italian, which helped us through this.
Thanks to all of you, it was a pleasure sharing the Etna and Taormina tour.
Excellent communication to coordinate logistics. Ciccio made the experience easy and seamless. Would recommend 100% we was patient with my group which included some older adults. Facilitated pick up points and drove very well.
Thanks for your opinion. Ciccio
Loved the small group for my family if 6. We were able to customize what we wanted to do and see. Our guide Cheecho was fabulous, friendly and so personable. Would highly recommend him. We were on a cruise and this was by far our most favorite. Mt Etna was amazing and Taormina was absolutely stunning.
Thank you for choosing us. Ciccio
My family and I visited Messina as part of our Mediterranean cruise. It was very easy to find our guide, Ciccio, waiting for us right outside the cruise terminal. It took us to Etna and Taormina, which were both amazing, especially Etna. Ciccio made sure we were all comfortable, gave us the best food recommendations and made sure we got all the souvenirs we wanted. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed the whole tour, which we did. Our trip to Sicily and this tour were the most important moment of our holiday and I don't think we would have had the same experience without Ciccio. I highly recommend this tour and, if possible, Ciccio as a tour guide! I can't wait to go back to Messina and book another tour!
È stato un piacere conoscervi tutta la famiglia, vi aspettiamo in Sicilia x un’altro tour. Ciccio
Cicco was an outstanding driver. He went out of his way to make our day memorable. We learned so much about the area from him. He has snacks and beverages. He was also very nice and full of personality.
Thank you, thank you, for your opinion. Ciccio
Ciccio was an outstanding driver and tour guide. He went above and beyond to make sure our day was amazing! Mt.Etna didn't disappoint!
Thanks to all of you. Ciccio
We booked this tour for our party for the cruise stop at Messina with ItalyTours.eu The driver met us on time, and basically drove us to the locations as arranged. However, Mt Etna tour goes up to a road stop about half-way up the mountain. While it is mildly interesting to see the volcanic ash-covered hills, it feels a bit pointless. There is a way to get to the top of Mt Etna using a cable car, but that must be booked separately (and we did not have time for it). We then went to Taormina - very charming town, which is very nicely restored (though it does feel like a tourist trap). However, with the limited amount of time, we had less than 2 hours there. The driver let us off the bus and told us to be back at 2, which was the extent of our tour. Needless to say, we did not make it to the 4 Seasons Hotel (of the White Lotus fame). Our biggest disappointment was that when we booked this tour, we were promised a "driver/guide". When we asked the driver about the history and culture of the areas we were driving through, he indicated that he is a driver, not a guide, and while he shared information about his life experiences, we were hoping for more background on the area. In fairness, the confirmation email did indicate that the driver was not going to provide in-depth historical information, and we should consider hiring a separate guide if that's what we wanted.
I'm sorry about your opinion.
I travelled to Messina with a cruise ship and Pellegrino's tour service adapted perfectly to the disembarkation and embarkation times or the ship. Upon arrival of the ship the driver Ciccio was already waiting for us outside the pier and accompanied us throughout the day with professionalism and joy. Everything as planned. Highly recommended and thanks to Ciccio from his company who made the tour very pleasant.
Un grazie a tutti voi , da ciccio
We had a great day with John Franco. We started with a windy trip up the mountain to see Mount Etna. It was very cold up there - the cable car 🚠 ride was fun. After Mt Etna went travelled to Tourmina where we walked around and had a yummy late lunch. We stopped off at a scenic photo spot in Messina before coming back to our cruise. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.
thanks to you it was a pleasure meeting you. Gianfranco
A past climb to this volcano that keeps four mouths open today expelling fumaroles. It is one of the busiest in Europe and the highest in this continent. It is worth visiting and moving around hiking or with a guided tour. The landscape is completely Martian. It can be a little cold so it is convenient to wear suitable clothes. Everything is very well organized from the cable car to the counter where you rent boot socks or whatever you need.
