Une attraction majeure de cette visite est le monument Voortrekker. Ce monument est d'une grande importance pour de nombreux Afrikaans parlant sud-africains, il représente le nationalisme afrikaner. Le monument a la forme d'un gros cube de pierre. Les murs intérieurs illustrent l'histoire du Grand Trek, un mouvement de masse d'Afrikaaner Boers qui n'aimaient pas la domination britannique.
Pretoria a du caractère dans ses bâtiments et lors de cette visite de l'architecture de la ville, vous aurez amplement l'occasion d'interroger votre guide sur l'histoire derrière les bâtiments et la culture. Nous visitons la place de l'église avec des bâtiments importants comme le Ou Raadsaal, le palais de justice et le théâtre de la capitale.

I had a wonderful tour of the city of Pretoria with my tour guide Cypo. He was pleasant. He arrived on time and was a great driver. He was very knowledgeable about the history of South Africa and about the sites in Pretoria. During my tour, I visited places like Paul Kruger‘s home, the Voortrekker monument, the Church Square, and other government monuments. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family.

Excellent first introduction to the history of South Africa, and although the tour was focused on the history of the Boers, our guide (Lebo) explained this in the context of other prominent groups at the time.

Loved this tour. Our guide was really informative and friendly. Seeing the old and new processing plants and the Big Hole, where the famous Culinan Diamond was found was amazing. Whilst mining isn’t the most eco friendly of activities, approx 80% of the diamonds found are for industry, so are key. They are also able to reprocess 1000’s tonnes of previously mined earth which modern technology can extract mostly industrial diamonds from. The visit to the shop after the tour was also extremely informative. Highly recommend this tour.

Very informative tour! Lebo was an excellent guide, very welcoming and willing to answer any question. You learn so much about how Pretoria came to be. It was an incredible expérience ! Visiting the diamand'mines was huge. The guide gave us lot of explications about the process. I appreciate it. And then we went to Pretoria. That was fabulous. The history of the buildings, all the symbols, the dialects, the guide Timoke broke down everythings. We have switched from surprises to surprises.
