Excellent overview of Johannesburg and Soweto
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-hour tour of Johannesburg and Soweto. Themba was a pleasant and knowledgeable guide who knew a lot about the history of the city and Apartheid. He answered many questions and the 5 hours was well spent. The Mandela home in Soweto was included and we had a separate tour guide there. We went on a Monday when the Apartheid museum was closed but we took an uber there the next day and spent several hours there too. There is so much to see and learn that we are glad we broke it up into 2 days. Highly recommend this tour! Now I am reading Born a Crime, the book by Trevor Noah about growing up in Johannesburg. It is very good also!

Excellent tour
Excellent tour showing the true character of Johannesburg, both god and bad. Additionally very educational due to our excellent guide, KG. She was wonderful and so knowledgeable.

Great Surprises in Soweto
My guide was terrific. He shared both official history and his personal perspectives. So much was packed into a four hour tour. One of many surprises was that Soweto is one of the safest places to visit because it has a vibrant community that takes care of its people. More people should know that.

Excellent time learning with our guide, KG!
We had a really great tour! Our guide, KG, was incredibly knowledgeable. She gave us a lot of historical information as well as more current info regarding parts of the city. We were able to get out and take some pictures of beautiful murals as well as the Soweto towers and other areas of interest. Constitution Hill was definitely a highlight. So much history and symbolism in it's creation for honoring those who fought, and suffered during Apartheid. We learned about other key individuals in the pursuit of equality that we had never heard of. We would highly recommend this tour. Even my daughter, who is not into history or tours found this to be a really interesting and valuable way to spend part of our day.
