Thank you Marvin for a great trip. You had all the answers. We learnt so much.
Went on Pretoria half day tour from JHB with Africa Moja Tours on 11 May 2026. Found guide, driver, Marvin to be enthusiastic, responsive, respectful, knowledgeable, well experienced, honest, high energy, safe driver. Even while driving, Marvin patiently answered numerous questions I had as first time visitor on various aspects of life and general affairs in SA. Marvin is also reliable as he reached out shortly after booking online. He sent clear instructions on meeting place and arrived early at hotel lobby. Marvin made it clear before starting trip that guest satisfaction is his top priority to allow me to optimise tour experience. Comfortable Toyota Cross vehicle used even for I was solo guest. Thanks Marvin for doing great work.
Sello the guide was excellent. Caring patient and look after customers very well. Very informative and accommodative to customers. Highly recommended Sello.
Very thorough very professional. Ali was super knowledgeable! Not only did I see the sites, I got an in depth explanation of the historical context and cultural significance of each place and artifact.
Hello, hello,This is the comment from China. The guide,Mr Gabriel makes me feel safe. And it is good to learn the history. U need a guide, because there are details u will never know unless u are told. Because of the work.it is a pity that I can only visit half days. Hoping next time there will have more time. Nice journey. Nice guide. Nice tour agency. Recommend. Take good care of the safety by the way. Welcome to South Africa. Have a nice journey. 大家来南非一定记得至少有个本地人在你身边,为了安全起见,因为你不知道哪些地方能去,哪些地方不能去,去错地方会比较麻烦的
I had a phenomenal day trip to Pretoria with Africa Moja Tours. My tour guide Gabriel was the best tour guide I had on my trip to South Africa. I was picked up at my hostel in Johannesburg and Gabriel shared so much knowledge about the sites we visited. We first went to the Voortrekker Monument where I learned about its history and then to the Paul Kruger House in Pretoria. The last part of the tour was to the Union Buildings. All the sites were amazing and I highly recommend this tour. Gabriel knows the history of Johannesburg and Pretoria inside and out. Did you know the streets of Pretoria are wider than Johannesburg because of the ox wagons they had going back to its founding? Or the story behind the city’s Jacaranda trees? You’ll learn this and so much more on the tour. Go ahead and book this tour!
We had booked a Johannesburg tour with our guide, Thsolo , the day before and had such a good experience that we booked this tour for the next day. This tour can take ten passengers in a van, but only the two of us had booked so our driver picked us up from our B&B in a sedan which meant we could customize our visit. The highlights are the Voortrekker Monument with a marble frieze depicting the processes of settlement and the Museum at the Freedom Park Heritage Site. Our guide explained the stories depicted on the frieze inside the Monument and the background of the events and characters The museum at the Freedom Park is beautifully done and traces the development of the human race from the time of creation with the African perspective We could easily have spent the whole day there.
Due to zimbabwe visa issues, we had to alter our vacation schedule and suddenly found ourselves with a free afternoon. I found Africa Moja Tours online and took a chance if they can accomodate us for a half-day Pretoria tour on the day itself and in 30mins, it was done! We were picked up right in front of our apartment by our lovely guide, Marvin, who absolutely knew his city inside out. Had a blast chatting with him during the trip, picking his brain. Unfortunately, since it was a holiday, some of the sights were closed. But Marvin more than made up for it by going the extra mile and bringing us to a Catholic Church (it was Good Friday) then afterwards bringing us to a fantastic African Arts and Crafts Market. You wanted to bring home half of the items being sold but realized you have luggage restrictions LOL! All in all, a fun afternoon. Would recommend Africa Moja Tours and Marvin to any Joburg tourist looking to see the sights. Will look them up again the next time we visit SA again. Great job guys! 👏🏼
We took this tour with our Joburg voortrekker relatives, and the experience was perfect all round. Booking online was easy. Staff were accessible and helpful via text, WhatsApp, email and phone, awesome! Pickup from home was on time and the van was superb and safe. Five hours were filled up in a timely, fun and safe fashion. Best of all, Nick, our guide and driver, was very knowledgeable and very good at his job. Many thanks! Ps. We are all older adults.
The Union Buildings in Pretoria is the official seat of the South African government and houses the offices of the country's president. The Union Buildings are located on top the Meintjieskop in the suburb of Arcadia in Pretoria, in the Tshwane Municipality. The Gardens are a great receptor for important outdoor activities and events. They are beautifully laid-out for such occasions and for relaxation. It is really a must-visit place while in the beautiful city of Pretoria.
