A different, somber world

We had very mixed feelings when we visited Soweto. The Apartheid Museum is very informative. A visit is worth it. The tour afterwards, however, was a glimpse into another world, a cosmos of misery and hopelessness that persists to this day. As white people, we felt out of place, almost a bit like voyeurs, without being able to change anything, however. The donation to the "kindergarten" we were shown will hopefully end up where it is needed.

A great experience

Brian our tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. Soweto was an experience that will sit with me for a long time, Mandela house was incredible as was the Apartheid Museum. As our hotel was in a different direction to the rest of the group the owner of the company met us to take us back, meaning we didn't have to wait for the other hotel drop offs. A fantastic experience, I'd highly recommend if you have a day in Johannesburg.

Excellent tour.

This tour was brilliant. My guide, Brian, was so knowledgeable and made us feel safe at all times. I was conscious when booking this trip to avoid "slum tourism" and this didn't feel like it. It was incredibly informative about the history of Soweto and was respectful to the locals. I would definitely book with this company again. Thank you.

Brian our guide was...

Brian our guide was knowledgeable, funny and nice. As we drove through Joburg, he pointed out landmarks and discussed Apartheid with us. We toured the Apartheid museum on our own.
