We bought tickets for the tour and yes, it is true that it appears that it does not include admission to Selvatura Park, but it is true that what appears is that you can not go to other activities of the park. When the day arrives, you are asked for an extra payment of $55 per person to access the park and to take the tour
Title sums it up. Tour guide never showed up, but fortunately we found another tour guide at the park gate and had a great time.
You asked to delay the tour schedule, and we agreed. Then you didn't show up. We still refunded you the full amount, even though you admitted your guilt for not being able to show up, since you told us you felt ill. Now you're saying we're a scam. My friend, please, you should say thank you, but not worry. Have a good trip and pura vida.
We have somewhat a big group with 18 people. The tour provided two tour guides. The main one was not fully recovered from a road accident and walking with pain. Wish he stay rest until fully recovered. This impacted our mood and the result of the tour. The second one spoke limited English.
Mil gracias
The walk was great. Olger, besides being very friendly, has a great knowledge of the area and we saw many different bird species including the Quetzal! We loved the experience! Very very highly recommended!!!
Olher was an amazing tour guide! He gave us information not only about the wildlife in Monteverde but its history as well. He spoke to us about the small plants growing in the forest and knew most species of birds and plants. He had a fun charismatic energy and I would recommend him as a tour guide for anyone looking to learn and see the wildlife through a true Costa Rican lens!
The guide smelled like cigarettes so it was difficult to smell the various fruit and plants he was showing us. His English was only fair. The pace was too slow with much conversation unrelated to the tour. We did have a partial view of the quetzal, which was amazing! And the guide had much knowledge, but it was difficult to understand.
gracias
Amazing walk through the Cloud forest. Our guide Eduardo was so passionate about the forest and we really felt like the forest came alive for us. Definitely worth taking the tour.
thank you!!!
An amazing walking tour through the cloud forest with our wonderful guide. Olger really bought the cloud forest to life with his knowledge about the trees, plants and the birdlife. His enthusiasm was contagious. I loved hearing the stories about his grandfather and father, who lived in the area. To top it off we saw a quetzal! The cloud forest was certainly one of the highlights of our visit to Costa Rica.
gracias pura vida
Pina made this the best experience we have had so far in Costa Rica! He guided us around the Monteverde cloud forest (a must-go attraction if you’re in the area - by far the best place to catch wildlife), and made the 3 hour hike enjoyable and informative. We managed to spot loads of flora and fauna that we hadn’t yet been lucky enough to see on other excursions across the country, which was an added bonus. We also learnt about the area and the biodiversity the forest has. Thank you, Pina - memories made that we will never forget!
It was the first time in Costa Rica and has been an experience that I would repeat once and a thousand times for the great diversity of flora and fauna! The excursion with Olger was very nice! He is a very prepared and very professional guide, you rating he loves what he does!!! A 💯!!!
