La forteresse de Râşnov subit des travaux d'entretien et de restauration ; en conséquence, l'accès à l'intérieur de la forteresse ne peut être autorisé. Actuellement, les visiteurs peuvent accéder uniquement au terrain / jardin et admirer l'extérieur. La forteresse de Râşnov (Rosenau en allemand) est située sur une colline rocheuse dans les Carpates, à 200 mètres au-dessus de la ville de Râşnov. Mentionnée pour la première fois dans un document officiel en 1331, la forteresse a été construite par les chevaliers teutoniques comme protection contre l'invasion des Tartares et a ensuite été agrandie par la population saxonne locale.

Excellent trip but should be a warning that solid shoes or trainers are required… it is very stony, uneven and steep all day!

"Fangtastic" day The tour does not include entrance tickets & we were concerned that Libearty bear sanctuary tickets could sell out, however as soon as we booked we had a WhatsApp from the operator advising us to immediately book tickets for a specific time slot for Libearty. The guide picked us up on time at the arranged location, and was friendly and informative throughout the trip. The bear sanctuary was amazing, the in house guide told us the stories of the bears and we were lucky enough to see them being fed. We saw around 30 bears. We then carried on to Bran (Dracula's!) castle where our guide helped us purchase tickets and arranged a meeting point. He gave us information about the castle before we went in. Be aware there are a lot of steps in the castle and staircases were steep and narrow. We spent around an hour and a half in the castle before meeting our guide to go to Rasnov Fortress. Our guide took us to the fortress, helped us with funicular tickets, and accompanied us to the fortress entrance. Although the actual fortress is closed for repairs (which we were aware of) we had great views from the inner courtyard. Our guide then drove us back to Brasov, arriving at 3.30pm. We would definitely recommend this tour - it made visiting the sanctuary and castle so much easier than by Uber or public transport.

The tour was a great way to get a well-rounded overview of Transylvania’s top attractions in a single day. The organizer went above and beyond by offering hotel pickup instead of the standard meeting point, which was a very nice and convenient touch. Transportation was comfortable, with a well-maintained Ford Transit that made the journey pleasant. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and efficiently organized, allowing us to see a lot without feeling rushed. We also appreciated the assistance with securing tickets for the attractions, which made the experience smooth and hassle-free. The combination of the bear sanctuary, Râșnov Fortress, and Bran Castle provided a perfect mix of nature and history. Everything ran on time and felt professionally managed throughout the day. The only improvement I would suggest is allowing a bit more free time at Bran Castle to explore at a more relaxed pace.

Clearly we didn’t read the spec properly as you have to buy tickets on top of the travel costs, but that was no problem and the whole day was brilliant
