Etna et Taormina
Description
Nous viendrons vous chercher à la rive de votre port et nous nous dirigerons vers le volcan le plus haut et le plus actif d’Europe. Pendant l'ascension, différents types de végétation peuvent être notés. Nous atteindrons 2 000 mètres. Nous nous promènerons ensuite ensemble pour visiter les cratères du "Silvestri" et les dernières coulées de lave et cratères de 2001/2003. En chemin, nous visitons une ferme familiale locale où il est possible de goûter le vin local de l'Etna, une sélection de différents types de miel (orange, citron, eucalyptus, fraise ...), des pâtisseries aux amandes, des olives, de l'huile d'olive extra vierge. En descendant du mont par une magnifique forêt de pins, nous arrivons aux points forts de Taormina. Ne manquez pas la visite du théâtre grec, une promenade dans la rue "Corso Umberto" avec plusieurs boutiques d’art et de créateurs, des églises baroques et des Palazzi. Vous pouvez savourer un excellent repas dans l’un des lieux siciliens locaux signalés par votre chauffeur expert.

We used this company for private driving tours for 8 days in Sicily . We used them from Palermo to Taormina to Siracusa to Ortegia to Agrigento and back to Palermo. We did 8 day trips on our two week trip to Sicily and were completely satisfied! They were on time , provided a clean and comfortable Mercedes Van and were super helpful, friendly, protective, and provided some great restaurant recommendations. We booked multiple tours and transfers with Autoservizi Sicily Tours di C. Egitto and I wish there was a category above "Excellent!" Every driver was on time, friendly, safety-conscious, English-speaking, and professional. The tour guides they booked for us in Palermo/Monreale, Taormina, and Siracusa were all top-notch as well. Communication with the booking office through Roswitha was great--responsive, clear, and timely. A fantastic experience all around--highly recommended!

Carmelo picked us up from the very crowded cruise terminal in Messina. (Otherwise you have to wait for a bus to take to the end of the port area which is quite large). We really enjoyed the change in scenery as we ascended to the craters on Mt Etna which made for a really great walk. (recommend closed toe shoes and if 60 degrees F is cold, maybe a sweatshirt). The olive oil & honey tasting was great and we bought a few bottles to take back on the ship. (Unfortunately, only one jar made it back due to an accidental drop on the pavement) We enjoyed lunch, gelato and walking around Taormina with the amazing views, scenery and shops. We felt very comfortable immediately with Carmelo and he easily answered all of our questions. Carmelo was very knowledgeable and a very good driver. We very much enjoyed our day with him in Sicily. Highly recommend.

Amazing active volcano. Very scenic, interesting and so much fun. this was our second visit to Mt Etna.
He is well versed in the history of the land. Well mannered & Fun. Anyone who has him as a driver is very fortunate. We ❤️ him.
