A phenomenal experience, from end to end! We were picked up at our hotel, and driven to n the airport. The staff, and pilot/instructor were friendly and knowledgeable! They explained everything and made the hour long first helicopter flight experience truly enjoyable, and an event to talk about and share with friends and family!
The whole process was seamless from the time we arrived and we made some great memories! Our instructor James was amazing - we highly recommend him! He was professional and maximized the time to make sure we learned from the time we got to the helicopter, into the air with different maneuvers and after landing. We did the 30 minute introductory lesson but we would love to come back again and work with James! Thanks so much for a great experience!
One of the best experiences of my life. Erik greeted us and was gracious from the start. He explained the trip from start to finish, very thorough and knowledgeable. James was our pilot and he was the consummate professional. He put me at ease and was patient and very clear with his instruction. When I did take the controls, he made me feel at ease and encouraged me with his calm and supportive demeanor. I highly recommend this experience for any aviation enthusiast and even for those who are not!
I booked this introductory lesson as an anniversary gift for my husband and he was so thrilled with it! The service is excellent and the staff are kind and friendly. This was definitely the best intro to piloting we could have asked for.
Amazing experience, and Kieran was an incredible instructor. Couldn't say enough great things about this. I hope to do it again soon.
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. The organization and instructor were very easy to work with. Specifically, with regards to the flight instructor (Mario), he was highly professional, knowledge, enthusiastic, patient.. Every good thing you could say comes to mind. Very enjoyable experience, and I will most definitely be back.
What an amazing adventure. Put this on the bucket list!!!!! West Wing Helicopters was a pleasure to deal with and the instructor was the best. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend this.
Would give 10 stars if I could. Booked this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend whose dream it is to one day get his pilot's license. The location was easy to find, parking was footsteps away from the front door and the staff was very professional and courteous from beginning to end. Our Pilot (Andrew) was very knowledgeable, confident in his skills and easy to interact with. Within 5 mins of takeoff my boyfriend had complete control of the aircraft with complete guidance from the pilot and minimal physical assistance. He had the time of his life learning how to maneuver the helicopter and trying his hand at hovering. This was an experience worth having for anyone who wants to know what it feels to fly an aircraft and definitely one for those who are thinking about getting their pilot's license. JUST DO IT!!!
Did an introductory flight with Wings Air Helicopters in Feb. 2022. It was a wonderful sunny day. I was picked up at Ross Aviation and guided to the already pre-flight checked helicopter. While entering the R44 I have been advised on the steps we will do during the flight. During the start up of the helicopter I have been advised on the procedures and the check list to be performed - checking machine and weather. After take off we started with taking over the controls step by step and after 5 minutes I have taken over the full control of the helicopter and have been flying it all be myself. During flight we performed several special tasks including turns and mid flight hovers. At the end of the hour we returned to the airport and have been even in time to do some low altitude hovers at the airport. This have been great. Overall I have felt very secure with my instructor and the structured approach of the flight made me feel very safe during the full flight. The safe feeling did also let me have a lot of fun during the flight performing all the flight manouveurs.
What an experience! So informative and fun. Highly recommend it. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The pilot was super knowledgeable and patient.
