Construit en 1885 par le magnat du chocolat William L. Wallace, le Tarrytown Music Hall a accueilli des numéros de vaudeville, des films muets et des interprètes de renommée mondiale. Ce théâtre magnifiquement préservé est également connu pour ses observations paranormales, ce qui en fait un point de départ parfait pour l’histoire hantée de Sleepy Hollow.
Cet espace vert paisible marque l’endroit exact où le major britannique John André a été capturé pendant la guerre d’indépendance, révélant la trahison de Benedict Arnold. Le monument des ravisseurs commémore les trois miliciens locaux dont la vigilance a changé le cours de l’histoire américaine. Aujourd’hui, le parc est une halte panoramique et contemplative, avec une étrange activité à l’aube.
Le bâtiment municipal au 28, avenue Beekman. Autrefois centre administratif calme, ce bâtiment en brique a une réputation plus sombre après les heures de bureau. Les habitants racontent des zones où les pas résonnent tard dans la nuit, et où des figures d'ombre glaçantes apparaissent.
Autrefois un centre de meunerie et de commerce prospère du XVIIIe siècle, le manoir de Philipsburg a été construit grâce au travail de ceux dont les noms et les histoires résonnent encore ici. Les visiteurs rapportent une activité bizarre. Son extérieur tranquille cache une histoire qui refuse de se reposer.
Cette modeste traversée est le site légendaire où le destin d’Ichabod Crane a été scellé dans le conte de Washington Irving. Bien que le pont d'origine ait disparu, les habitants affirment qu'un cavalier masqué charge encore dans la brume les nuits sans lune. La ruée des sabots a fait sursauter plus de quelques passants.
Construite à la fin des années 1600, l"église Old Néerlandais est l'une des plus anciennes de New York et le lieu de repos des soldats de la guerre d'Indépendance, des villageois locaux, et des personnages qui auraient inspiré le conte de Washington Irving. Les tombes environnantes se penchent et s'effritent sous des siècles de temps.
Créé en 1849, ce cimetière tentaculaire est le dernier lieu de repos de Washington Irving et d'innombrables légendes locales.

Since it was so crowded, we actually did this audio tour by car and it worked out perfectly. Great way to enhance and educate yourself on the area while driving through town. (In traffic)

Scam. Don’t book this. There is no tour. Went to the Tarrytown Music Hall and was informed by the staff that is no such tour. It puts the employees in an awkward position to have to inform people that there is no such tour.

Guests access the tour directly on their smartphone and explore at their own pace, as described on your purchase voucher. This was pretty good. I did like how I could listen to the content for a week, because I missed some of the details and was able to listen again while driving home.
Pretty bloody!!! I've taken other audio tours that pulled punches, but this one is actually pretty intense. Glad I didn't have to download yet another junk app.
Actual walk and tour info entertaining, after you figured out how to get it. Takes about 11/2 hrs to complete if you check out each stops and listen to tape. That said, my assumption that we’d get a pair of headphones from a human being at the location address given was NOT the case. There is no one at the address given and no one at the address knows anything. After scouring my confirmation, I noticed a help link … which takes you to a chat link where you fill in a lot of info and somehow get to another link that supplies the Tour, locations and audio. EarPods are recommended…. However, if your a small group , 2 , only buy 1 ticket and you can easily listen together on speaker.

Never received a confirmation email with the link to start the self guided walking tour. Had to call a customer service number. She sent me the link. After trying, trying to put in the excruciating amount of information that for some reason you were looking for, we were still unable to start the tour. Absolutely ridiculous and seems like a scam to me.

The time that we were supposed to go to the music hall it's wasn't open to visitors. Another of the locations was also closed for an event. The information provided as a guide was minimal and didn't really provide guidance. Won't purchase one of these self guided tours again.

Very fun and very long. I think it was two miles. Went into the headless horseman stuff, including the site of the old bridge and the graveyard where he is said to be buried. Honestly pretty creepy tour. I was tired at the end and took an Uber from the last stop, its more of a straight line than a loop.
Very good. Wish it was in Spanish. Actually bloodier and gorier than I expected. I like that kind of stuff but it might be too bloody for young kids.
