Île de Saona : Excursion d'une journée en catamaran en petit groupe

Fantastic family excursion to Isla Saona. We had a blast. The crew was amazing, helpful, and knowledgeable. Entire tour was well-organized - and the areas we visited were absolutely stunning. Lunch was great too. Highly recommend!

We just came back from Punta Cana. We chose Quetzal excursions for a catamaran excursion of Saona Island because of all the great reviews. They were right. Charlotte and the crew were fantastic. From the taxi , to the water taxis to and from the catamaran, everything was smooth and organized. They did not overcrowd us, took us to beautiful locations to snorkel and see starfish. It was relaxing and fun. And on top of it they served us a delicious lunch. Thank you for a great day!

Small boat excursion (no loud music, departure on time, etc.). We were one of the first ones on the island (which allowed us to enjoy it peacefully). The only nit is that you have to disembark the boat via a small boat, which adds more to the transport time (about 30 min each time).

This is not the first time we have used this company. What an organization is always at the top with a taxi bus that picks us up from our hotel in Puntacana and takes us to the departure place of the Excursions. In small group, super nice with a very well organized accompanying team.. very friendly. Thank you so much.🙏

This place was beautiful but so not worth it for the travel, be prepared to transfer from van to van to bus and then sit and wait for 30 mins or more for other groups, once you get on the water it’s a nice enough ride and the views are stunning but the food is bad (pasta was mushy, everything under-seasoned) and the journey back is long, you have to transfer between boats and end up having to sit and wait for up to an hour, it ended up being a 13.5 hr day for us with most of it being travel and wait time. The last time we ate was around noon and we didn’t have access to more food until almost 10pm. I never write reviews but this trip was pretty brutal, we were exhausted and starving by the end of it.

We had a fantastic day with Charlotte, Valentin and all the crew who all worked so hard to ensure we had a great day and were all looked after. I searched for a while before finding this operator to Saona island. We wanted to avoid a ‘party boat’ type of experience and a smaller group trip, which this was exactly. We saw some great spots, quieter locations and everything was run smoothly and explained very well in numerous languages. They offered all sorts of drinks, snacks, refreshments and a nice bbq lunch which was all delicious. Thoroughly recommend if you’re a couple or a small group looking for a more relaxed experience. It was a wonderful experience, everything was impeccably organized, starting from the collection from the hotel in the morning with exact indications of time and place, until the return back to the hotel, I recommend it to anyone, I would only say that it would be desirable that the stops on the island and at the natural pool were longer. I give you 5 stars with congratulations.

An outstanding excursion!! We passed so many packed boats and this group ensures that the catamaran isn’t crowded. This was one of our top favorite parts of our vacation. Highly recommend! Shout out to Charlotte and the crew for making this excursion so memorable.

Amazing experience!! I spent so much time looking at reviews for this experience and I was so discouraged. So many had really scary reviews of horrible stories with other companies. I almost didn’t book this, but decided to give it a chance because it had good reviews. I’m so glad I did!! Our group was small, they didn’t blast music and didn’t stuff a hundred people on the boat. The catamaran was luxurious, they kept us fed and provided water and drinks, gave us ample time at the beach. They let the group decide what options we had (we all decided we wanted more beach time rather than swimming in the ocean). The beach itself was magical. So clean, clear blue water, and the group organizers offered to go get pina coladas for us. Some folks walked by to sell us souvenirs. Make sure you negotiate!! :) Anyway, I almost didn’t want to write this review because I don’t want too many people to know lol. Anyway, great company.

We had an incredible experience from start to finish everything was smooth and organized, and the staff treated us like VIPs. The boat crew was amazing, fun, friendly, and made the ride even more enjoyable. The island was absolutely stunning, and the food was delicious. Paying extra to avoid the crowds was worth every penny. My boys (10 & 12) had a blast, and we all enjoyed the full-day excursion. If you’re headed to Saona, book with this group highly recommend!
