The guide Fiona was excellent.
Really great tour of the west coast. Fiona looked after us well and was full of information. Even with Scottish weather blocking some views, it was a great day, and Fiona looked for the opportunities for us, with some lovely extra stops.
We took the Applecross, Loch Carron & The Wild Highlands tour with Timberbush Tours and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. Our guide, Martin—amazingly in only his fifth week as a guide—was absolutely outstanding. We had a very small group of just six guests, which made the day feel personal and relaxed. Throughout the entire 10-hour tour, Martin kept us entertained and informed with his upbeat commentary, stories, and knowledge of the area. As an Inverness native, his pride in Scotland was obvious and completely infectious. The scenery throughout the day was simply indescribable—every turn seemed more stunning than the last. I had been a little nervous beforehand about traveling the Bealach na Bà, but Martin immediately put me at ease. He was an exceptionally careful and focused driver—both hands on the wheel, calm and attentive the entire time—which allowed me to stop worrying and fully enjoy one of the most spectacular drives imaginable. One of my favorite moments came right at the beginning of the day when Martin took us to a waterfall that wasn’t even listed on the itinerary—one of his personal favorites—and we had the entire place to ourselves. Those unexpected touches made the experience feel extra special. Another highlight was our stop at the Walled Garden near Applecross. We enjoyed a scrumptious meal there and then had time to wander around the beautiful walled garden afterward—such a peaceful and memorable stop. Martin also timed restroom and snack breaks perfectly throughout the day, which made the long excursion very comfortable. This was one of those rare travel days that exceeds expectations and becomes a memory you know you’ll keep forever. Huge thanks to Martin and Timberbush Tours for an unforgettable experience. Great job, Martin!
On the Applecross trip with a friend on 9th June. Spectacular scenery. Our guide, Fiona, was knowledgeable and easy going which made our trip stress free. She was also very supportive to everyones needs and took photos for us. Ensured we had some reserved seats in a popular lunch venue. Also added in a couple of extras ie. Waterfall and ruined castle with lovely views down the glen. Well done Timberbush and Fiona.

Exceptional, we saw the Highland like we couldn’t do on our own. Tour guide Ben is the Best. Relatable and knows everything and the some. Best views and a stag crossing the road on top of that.
We had a great time on our tour. We saw tons of stunning scenery and our tour guide Ben was extremely knowledgeable about the area and local history. I recommend this trip to anyone looking for an easy way to experience the Highlands.
Lind was amazing at explaining about the history of the jacobites and other stuff… really Loved her company , thanks for the trip…
Hi there, Thanks for the wonderful review! Linda really does know how to showcase some of the best stories about our vast Scottish history - and we hope you got to learn something new to take back with you! Kind regards, Fatima
I took this tour with Fiona. she was absolutely amazing. It is not an easy tour with all the driving on one lane mountain roads with large campers coming the other way and not following the rules for pulling aside, yet she was cheerful and a great driver and excellent tour guide. This is gorgeous country! Especially when you are at the top and then heading down to Applecross and you start to see the Islands including Skye. Wow - what a terrific scenic ride, one of the best in Scotland. Thank you Fiona - you were great!!!!
Hi, Thank you for taking time out of your day to leave us such a kind review. We are so glad you had the chance to see some of the most beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer. We hope to welcome you back on tour one day soon! Kind regards, Sophie
This whole area was just stunning. We did a drive from Kishorn over the top to Applecross, enjoying amazing scenery. We then drove back along the coast, and again great scenery. The roads are all single track with passing places and not suitable for large motorhomes. It was fine when we did it, but I suspect in high summer you'll be hopping from passing place to passing place!
