Tout commence par la prise en charge à l'hôtel pour nous diriger vers notre premier arrêt.
Notre premier arrêt sera la plantation de café et de cacao où vous pourrez voir le processus de fabrication de ces produits et en même temps vous pourrez les déguster. Près de la plantation, nous rendrons visite à une famille où nous pourrons voir comment vivent les locaux dans la campagne dominicaine.
De manière panoramique, nous ferons une visite du quartier de La Ceiba, un quartier de travailleurs de la région.
Une authentique usine dominicaine, où vous pourrez essayer la fabrication de cigares dans l'environnement d'origine avec les outils d'origine. Vous pouvez acheter des cigares dominicains et, bien sûr, il existe une grande variété de cigares, de la qualité bon marché à la qualité supérieure.
En poursuivant notre tour panoramique, nous observerons le quartier de La Otro Banda, l'un des quartiers les plus animés de la région car très proche de la ville.
Après notre aventure panoramique, nous vous montrerons le marché local de Higūey où les habitants vont acheter des produits de première nécessité.
Ensuite, dans une vue panoramique, nous observerons la belle et grandiose église de San Dionisio, ce monument a commencé à être construit en 1569 et a été achevé en 1572.
Nous arriverons ensuite au lieu le plus visité par les Dominicains, la cathédrale Nuestra Señora De La Altagracia. La construction a commencé en 1954 et a duré 17 ans. Là, nous pouvons profiter de cette magnifique construction, de ses beaux intérieurs et, pourquoi pas, pouvoir prier pendant quelques minutes.
Ensuite, nous retournons dans la région de Bávaro, en chemin, nous verrons les plus grandes plantations de canne à sucre.
Notre dernier arrêt sera dans une boutique de cadeaux, de peinture, de bijouterie, etc.
Enfin, nous retournerons dans le hall de votre hôtel, Airbnb ou domicile.

We booked the Half Day Private Tour in Dominican Republic with Local Guide at the last minute, and it turned out to be a great experience. Our guide and driver, Silverio, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He made the whole trip enjoyable, never rushed us, and shared interesting information about the local culture, as well as the coffee, cocoa, and tobacco production. Visiting Higüey, the Basilica, and the local market gave us a much better understanding of everyday life in the Dominican Republic. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that we didn't stop at Macao Beach. We only realized afterward, when we checked the tour description again, that a brief stop at the beach was supposed to be part of the itinerary. Overall, it was still a very enjoyable tour, and Silverio did an excellent job. If the beach stop had been included as advertised, it would have been a perfect experience.

An experience that one cannot miss, the private Punta Cana–Higüey City Tour. Edwin Junior, our guide, THE BEST!!! Very knowledgeable about the culture, customs, and the places we visited, the most attentive and helpful. We visited a local coffee and cocoa plantation, where we were able to taste delicious coffee and chocolate; we also learned how they make it and about many customs and other products they make in the area. He took us to buy souvenirs where they served us very well, and we saw the beautiful Cathedral of the Virgin of Altagracia, saw the sugarcane plantations, and closed our tour with a flourish by eating delicious and typical Dominican food. This was a last minute booking that ended up being well worth it. My husband and I wanted our 3 kids (15, 12, 8) to experience parts of the island beyond our resort. Wellington worked diligently with me to ensure that our needs were met. We really appreciated how flexible and willing to accommodate us personalizing the tour. I wanted to share what a wonderful guide we had in Dominica. His name is Roger and he worked on this day for InvaderZim Taxi & Tours. I'm not sure if he also works for other companies. Anyway, Roger was amazing, very friendly, informative and professional. He actually hiked with us around the Fresh Water Lake up in the Cloud Forest as well as taking us to other interesting sites - wherever we wanted to go. I highly recommend asking for Roger when you book your day.
This private tour was the highlight of our trip. Edwin was a perfect guide and we loved everything. Our family learned so much about the culture, people, and the real DR! The plantation was fascinating to learn how chocolate, coffee, and vanilla begins and we even stopped at a small fruit stand to buy some local fruits. It was so refreshing to leave the hotel environment and get to experience some of the real Dominican Republic. Beautiful lush green scenery, our very knowledgeable guide Edwin was amazing and talked to us about many topics and we shared stories about our lives. All of the places we visited showed us more about the livelihood of real people who live on this beautiful island and are trying to make their way and live their lives. Yes we had stops at places to buy tourist souvenirs but hey, who doesn’t want to contribute to the local economy. It was insightful, we felt very safe and enjoyed every minute of our day. Edwin and Abel were wonderful. We rolled cigars, visited a working plantation in the mountains, drove through the crazy traffic in town and visited a bascilica. What an amazing way to spend the morning. Edwin and Abel were excellent sharing their knowledge of the area, politics and the culture. We did the private half day punta cana tour and it was AMAZING!!! The tour surpassed our expectations and ended up being our favorite thing we did on our vacation. Our tour guide was Edwin and he was the sweetest human. He was so knowledgeable. He answered all our questions. From the beginning, he made us feel comfortable. We never felt unsafe.
