Excursion-safari en République dominicaine au départ de Punta Cana

Description

Great excursion. Home visit. School visit. Coffee making and cigar tutorual. Shopping time with swimming on a gorgeous beach.
Fantastic time. Our guide was so knowledgeable and really took the time to explain everything. We got to visit a local food market, school, basilica, traditional home! Exactly what we wanted to experience.
Interesting and informative tour. The guide did a good job of improvising when rain started at noon time.
Worst service ever! Told to confirm within 24hrs by what’s app... sent an email and what’s app message Monday for our scheduled tour Tuesday...no response.... since there was no response left a message to please move the reservation and book for Thursday. Finally got a response confirming Thursday. We get woken up Wednesday at 7:30 telling us our tour is waiting for us.... They tell us next tour is either Friday or Saturday... I ask to cancel since we leave Saturday and could not do Friday. I get a message saying we can do the excursion on Thursday . We go to bed early... wake up at 0630, wait for them for 45 minutes... I send them a message and now tell me that due to new government regulations they have to cancel... while I see other guests heading out for another tour... unbelievable........ do not trust!
This is more of a minivan trip up the mountain and a ride to the church. The guide made up the trip as we went along. He mentioned he was deported from the USA. He also sent us into the church alone because the Bishop didn’t allow him to go inside for unknown reasons. He did take good pictures of us. We never went to a school and he was not aware it said that on the excursion description. On the way back to the resort, the driver did not have money to pay the toll. He asked us for the money. No preparation. And felt unsafe. Do not book.
Unfortunately we had to cancel this tour because the vendor didn’t show up until 1.45 hours later. According to TripAdvisor they were supposed to pick us up at 0700 and they showed up at 0845. We had a wedding to attend in the afternoon and we couldn’t afford to arrive late to the wedding. The vendor didn’t want to refund our tickets saying that we were a no show when we waited for almost two hours. We had to push back on Viator to receive a refund. It’s a shame because other tours I have done via TripAdvisor have been great. I don’t recommend this tour or to keep it in TripAdvisor.
Our cruise ship docked too late to catch an early, all day country tour so this ended up being a private tour to visit the backcountry mountains, a working planation, and a downtown open-air community market. It was so interesting; we enjoyed getting off the beaten path and away from all the tourist traps. Our guide was knowledgable and very personable We were served a delicious authentic lunch of local cuisine. Requested plantains and they made some fresh just for us. Very enjoyable day for the 4 of us. Nancy
My family and I went for the first time and had a lot of fun. There were many animals to see and the people were very nice!
Very rewarding experience to understand how cocoa beans and coffee grow and then learn the life of Dominicans their custom

We had a wonderful time. The guides were awesome and super friendly. The tour was as beautiful as it was interesting. I highly recommend it.
