This is our 1st safari and we don’t know what to expect but we were overjoyed by the treatment we received from both operators: Philippians 4 Four and Kgabo. We were the only 2 guests and they did not cancel the tour. We have a marvelous time and enjoyed very much with our guides for both the RT transfer from hotel to reserve park and our game driver! We saw 3 out of the Big Five and we were very happy to see so many elephants at the end!
Tswelo, my driver was great. He was very knowledgeable and personable. As a single woman, he made me feel safe in the car alone and made sure I was well taken care of during the safari. The safari was also a great experience. We managed to get close to 4 of the 5 big animals. For being my first safari, I was very happy with the entire process.
I thoroughly enjoyed my full day safari. Due to peak hour traffic and late hotel pick up the Safari nearly left without me! I would recommend warm clothing and scarf etc for the open jeep as there was a cold breeze. Saw an amazing selection of wild life including a family of lions who had killed their lunch right beside the park road which was a bonus for us although a bit grisly! Only a couple of elephants as they don’t like the cold. Great spot for lunch where giraffes and zebras come for the salted stones. There was a great bunch on the safari and guide was fantastic.
The trip was superb from beginning to end. Our driver, Sabelo, picked us up at the Hotel in the early morning & drove 2.5 hours to Pilanesberg Park. He is very polite, professional & knew our level of energy such that we had a great chat early on the ride where he shared about African culture & the history of South Africa with us. When we grew sleepy, he simply played soft music so we dozed off. Once we reached Pilanesberg Park, our safari guide named Peace, was also very experienced, amazing & professional. He spotted rhinoceros, giraffes, hippos, zebras, impalas, wildebeest, birds, many herds of Elephant families from near & far. We knew that it may be elusive to spot lions and leopards but our guide drove around tirelessly from crew-members' news of Fresh lion tracks spotted. After all, these are all animals living in their wild habitat -- the Park is 55,000 hectares in size ! We had an absolutely fantastic time & loved that June winter season meant the weather was pleasantly cool. During our 1-hour lunch break, there were salt blocks placed for the wild animals so that we could observe them from a safe distance & it was an amazing sight to see them all licking the salt for nutrition. After Peace guided us from 9 AM - 3 PM+ in the park, Sabelo our driver was waiting right outside to send us back to the Hotel safely. We really appreciate all the professionalism & above all, we always felt very safe. THANK YOU Phillipians 4 Four Travel & Tour !
Our family really enjoyed the experience of a safari. Also for the service and kindness of our driver.
The driver (Gift) that pick us up from hotel & our guide (Lizzy) on the Safari were great. The weather was bad we didn't see many animal but the experience was great. We been on several safaris but we were very impressed with the overall experience
The perfect trip. Got picked up bright and early by Sabelo and he gave us great information about the region and South Africa. He was very kind and a great driver. Also, great taste in music! Fees included a lunch which we chose upon arrival in Pilanesberg. 6 hours with 2 game drives was perfect. We got to see so many animals ! George was a lovely guide with a great sense of humour. We got very lucky and it was just the two of us during the afternoon drive. Best for going with friend or even alone. Everyone was very friendly. Thank you P4F!
Very well planned tour! Was able to book on rather short notice. Quick response and easy to organise. Was picked up promptly by friendly driver and taken to Pilanesberg. our Safari Guide Bernard was brilliant and so informative! Lunch was great and overall we had a smoothly run great day!
The driver, Sambelo, (spelling?) was highly professional and courteous. I’m a backseat driver and I am giving him an A+ on his driving skills. The safari tour itself was beyond expectation. My guide, named Peace, did his best to find animals for me. Giraffes, zebras, elephants, and leopards are my favorites. Saw lots of the first three but, alas, the leopards chose to rest in unfound spots. I chose this tour due to an extra day in Johannesburg before flying to Botswana. Observing animals in their natural habitat is such a blessing. If you want a quick peak of what a safari offers, I highly suggest this tour.
I was visiting Johannesburg for a few days and thought it would be a great idea to do a day safari. At first, I was worried that one day wouldn’t be enough, but it turned out to be just the right amount of time to enjoy it. I had an early pick-up at 6:10 a.m. by a comfortable car. We had two stops for me to get some snacks and use the restroom, and after about two hours, we arrived at the park where I was seated in a special jeep you’d normally see on a safari. I was lucky to be the only passenger and basically got a private tour by Mister Thabo. We saw most of the big 5 and many other animals on our 6-hour drive through the park. There was a lunch break at the restaurant, and the food was great too. Then, we got back to the hotel safely, I spent the majority of the drive back sleeping. I highly recommend this tour
